>FOIA REVELATION: US CDC admits that it has no record of an unvaccinated person spreading COVID after recovering from COVID

It says specifically in the letter that they cannot provide this information because this information has not been collected. I would wager the not collecting was intentional so they would not have the data and that instances of transmission once someone has had Covid would be extremely small….but personally I think making a huge bomb out of this is a mistake. Here's what I see as problems: It's easy for them to explain in a perfectly rational way that normal people who don't want to know anything else will accept. Also, I am pretty certain I have seen reports of people who were recorded as having gotten Covid a second time (immune compromised?) who could possibly be a source of transmission. I just think this revelation is not what it seems and could blow back on people.

What needs to be thoroughly figured out and communicated is exactly what viral load present creates the potential for transmission and under what circumstances is transmission possible. That matters for anyone, unvaxxed, vaxxed, or immune compromised who might not develop immunity to natural infection. WHEN and HOW are people infectious? If people can only spread once they are having symptoms, then all it takes to not infect others is common sense and decency to stay home if you start having any symptoms of anything. Easy better early home testing would be great.
