Air Force IDs Shaw airman found dead at home

An airman assigned to the 20th Fighter Wing at Shaw Air Force Base in South Carolina died at his off-base home Sunday, according to the Air Force.
Senior Airman Cody Flick, 24, died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound, Sumter County Sheriff's Office public information officer Ken Bell told Air Force Times on Tuesday.
Flick called 911 but was dead by the time deputies arrived, Bell said.
According to the sheriff's office investigation report, the airman had written two good-bye notes. The incident remains under investigation by the sheriff's office.
Flick was assigned to the 20th Component Maintenance Squadron and was a member of the electronic warfare team. He joined the Air Force in 2011.
