That's not the USS Connecticut, Anon. The CT is a Seawolf class boat. Check the base of the sail. It's very distinctive and new with this class. The pic you posted look a lot like an older 688-Los Angeles class sub with it's big ass bow. I've seent them both many times.

During construction of the 23 boat, 'someonestopped by and asked Electric Boat to cut it in half and add a 100 section in the middle for 'stuff'. So they did. The 23 is 453' and tippy top secret.
