When anon was a kid, there was no such thing as a GFI outlet, and 200# televisions sat on cheesy ass TV trays. Cupboards weren't locked, and you could gulp bleach to your heart's content. Dads encouraged kids to play on the yellow line, and moms kicked them outside to deal with the world whenever her soap opera was on.
