Over the last several decades, i’ve been asked that by young people. At first, i spent effort trying to encourage them to read The Constitution first because they would be swearing Oath to it, so on and so forth. Later, I added caution about the difficulty they may face considering the lawfulness of an order. I don’t spend much effort on that stuff now… i just straight up tell them they could probably do more for their country at this time staying close to home.

As the other anon mentions, the opportunities close to home are gonna take off, and yes, wait until AFTER this is settled and a rebuilt Military.

Hard to see many young people fresh into THIS military, doing well by it right now. Could be wrong, but I definitely wouldn’t take the chance.
