Ellwood Beach in SB was one of the only places on the Mainland that was ever shelled by enemies.
I think there are high value targets in the area…
UCSB, Vandenberg Air/Space force Base and connected network infrastructure, SeaBees/Port Hueneme etc…
Either that, or it's an easy place for enemies to sneak up on us because Island cover.
