Authorities arrest Maryland mayor on charges of distributing at least 50 images of revenge porn

Police arrested Andrew Bradshaw — Mayor of Cambridge, Maryland — on Monday and charged him with 50 counts of distributing revenge pornography.

WBAL-TV reported that the state's Revenge Porn Statute "prohibits the nonconsensual distribution of a private visual representation of another which exposes their intimate body parts or displays them engaged in sexual activity, with the intent to harm, harass, intimidate, threaten or coerce the person depicted."

What are the details?

Charging documents, which were filed in the Dorchester County Circuit Court on Monday morning, alleged that Bradshaw "created multiple accounts on the public internet forum Reddit" in order to share nude photographs of a person with whom he had previously engaged in a sexual relationship.

WJZ-TV reported that Bradshaw is accused of publishing the name and birthdate of the victim and shared the photos to forums "related to sex, humiliation, degradation, and race."

The charging document further alleged that Bradshaw digitally shared the images without the knowledge or consent of his purported victim and with the intent to harm her.

According to a report from MyEasternShoreMD, Maryland State Prosecutor Charlton Howard said that his office is dedicated to the victims of those people who abuse positions of power.

Howard said that Bradshaw is accused of sharing the photos of the unnamed victim, captioned with "racial slurs and sexually explicit language."

"Using someone's private images without their consent is a serious breach of trust and invasion of privacy, and the power and breadth of the internet makes such a violation even more egregious," Howard said in a release on Bradshaw's arrest. "Our office is committed to protecting victims from those who abuse their positions of power and trust."

If convicted on all charges, Bradshaw could face a maximum penalty of two years' imprisonment and a $5,000 fine for each count of distributing revenge pornography.

The City of Cambridge's website states that Bradshaw — a lifelong resident of the area — took office in January, making him the youngest mayor in the city's history.

He is said to live in the city with his partner, Natalee Tubman, and their two dogs, Stella and Barren.

MISDEMEANOR FROM HELL: Defiant Bannon Tells Biden He Picked The Wrong Target in Fiery Courthouse Speech.

Washington, D.C. – A defiant Stephen K. Bannon emerged from the D.C. federal courthouse this afternoon promising to deliver Joe Biden, Merrick Garland, and Nancy Pelosi the “misdemeanor from hell” following his indictment on two counts related to an unconstitutional contempt of Congress charge.

Bannon, 67, emerged several hours after his first appearance before a D.C. court and used the specter of Hunter Biden’s “hard drive from hell” to frame his opposition to the case against him.

“I’m telling you right now, this is going to the misdemeanor from hell for Merrick Garland, Nancy Pelosi, and Joe Biden.

“Joe Biden ordered Merrick Garland to prosecute me, from the White House lawn, when he got off Marine One,” Bannon alleged, alluding to a politically-motivated prosecution the likes of which America has never seen.

“We’re going to go on the offense,” he added. “We’re tired of playing defense.”

Speaking to reporters outside the courthouse, Bannon lawyer Douglas Schoen described his long career at the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) and insisted: “This is unheard of, to force a person to violate the invocation of executive privilege… I represented the American Civil Liberties Union for more than 20 years… this is an issue that the American Civil Liberties Union should be on our side with.”

CCP Accuses US Of "Building Trade Barricades" By Not Allowing Intel To Produce Semi Components In China

It was just hours ago we wrote how the White House had rejected a plan from Intel to produce more semiconductor components in China.

Now, China is weighing in on the issue.

Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Zhao Lijian said at a press briefing on Monday in Beijing that the U.S. is "stretching the concept of national security" by preventing Intel's plans. Lijian said that the U.S. is using national security as a means to "build up trade barricades", Bloomberg reported Monday morning.

Lijian also accused the Biden administration of forcing Samsung and Taiwan Semiconductor to hand over "sensitive information" related to their supply chains.

Because, as we all know, the CCP always stays out of the plans of large China-based tech conglomerates.

Lijian then accused Biden's actions of harming the supply chain for the U.S. and other countries, Bloomberg reported.

The report says that he suggested the U.S. "abandon the zero-sum game mindset, uphold a fair and nondiscriminatory business environment, and contribute to the building of an open world economy with concrete actions".

Recall, we wrote just hours ago that Intel had proposed "using a factory in Chengdu, China, to manufacture silicon wafers,". It could have been online by 2022, but the White House, "strongly discouraged" the move. Intel likely had to listen since the company is seeking government support in helping expand its capacity for manufacturing semis in the U.S.

Intel told Bloomberg it was now looking at “other solutions that will also help us meet high demand for the semiconductors essential to innovation and the economy.”

Prosecutor Argues for Vigilante Action — Against Kyle Rittenhouse: Mob Had ‘Right’ to Chase Him

Prosecutor Thomas Binger made the unusual argument on Monday in a Kenosha, Wisconsin county court that the mob had the “right” to chase Kyle Rittenhouse after he shot Joseph Rosenbaum, and that he had no right to defend himself against them.

Binger, delivering his closing argument in the 10-day murder trial, argued that Rittenhouse had provoked the violence that led to the shooting deaths of Joseph Rosenbaum and Anthony Huber, and the severe wounding of Gaige Grosskreutz near midnight on Aug. 25, 2020, during riots that were led by Black Lives Matter demonstrators in the small Midwestern city.

Though all three of the alleged victims were chasing Rittenhouse at the time, Binger portrayed them as concerned citizens trying to stop an “active shooter.” Though he argued that Rittenhouse could not reasonably believe that the first man shot, convicted child rapist Joseph Rosenbaum, would actually disarm him, Binger said the crowd was justified in trying to do so.

He argued that Rittenhouse was to blame for choosing to flee Rosenbaum into a group of parked cars, rather than an open field. And he said that Rittenhouse “callously” ignored Rosenbaum’s plight as he fled the crowd after the first shooting.

Binger argued that Rittenhouse did “nothing to demonstrate to the crowd that he isn’t a threat to kill again,” saying he should have fired warning shots. Therefore, he said, the actions of the mob of rioters who chased him were “entirely reasonable.” He added that “the crowd has the right to stop another shooting,” and was right to chase Rittenhouse, supposedly to stop him.

Thus the prosecution argued for the “right” to vigilante action — though by the crowd of rioters, not by the defendant.

However, at one point, the prosecutor admitted that Rittenhouse was acting “to save his own skin,” appearing to admit that he believed himself to be in mortal danger — a belief that, if reasonable according to the jury, would result in his acquittal.

The prosecution presented its closing arguments first, which were to be followed by the defense’s arguments, and then by the prosecution once more. Earlier, Judge Bruce Schroeder had dismissed the sole weapons charge against Rittenhouse.

Federal Reserve Failure

What do the Federal Reserve and neoconservatives have in common? They both refuse to admit that their policies — the neocons’ promotion of perpetual war and the Fed's manipulation of the money supply — are complete failures, having produced the opposite of the promised results.

The latest example of the Federal Reserve engaging in Bill Kristol-like levels of denial is the Fed’s continued insistence that the return of 70s-style inflation is a “transitory” phenomenon resulting from the end of the lockdowns. The Fed has acknowledged the “transitory” inflation will last until at least 2022, yet it is still determined to keep interest rates at or near zero until the “jobs situation” improves.

To be fair, the Fed has finally announced plans to cut back on its money-pumping activities by reducing by 15 billion dollars a month its monthly purchase of 80 billion dollars of Treasury bonds and 40 billion dollars of mortgage-backed assets.

It is unlikely that the Fed will stick to its plans to “taper” its purchase of Treasury bonds. The Fed’s Treasury bond purchases enable the federal government to run up the debt without increasing taxes or paying punishingly high interest on the debt.

The Congressional Budget Office projects that by 2030 the federal debt interest cost will more than double to 829 billion dollars. That is more than the government spent on the military in 2020!

Despite the looming fiscal crisis, Congress is unlikely to cut spending anytime soon. Instead, Congress members are debating a 1.75 trillion dollars “social spending” plan, having just passed a 1.2 trillion dollars infrastructure bill. Contrary to the claims of President Biden and his allies, this new spending will not reduce inflation. What it will do is hasten and deepen the inevitable economic crisis caused by government overspending.

Of course, most Republicans will continue opposing big increases in spending and debt … as long as a Democrat sits in the Oval Office. A Republican who becomes president will likely believe, as Dick Cheney has said, that President Reagan taught us that deficits don’t matter. The difference between the parties is Republicans are less likely to raise taxes. So, no matter who controls Congress and the presidency, spending and debt can keep increasing.

The Fed may also take dramatic action to keep interest rates low if other purchasers of federal debt demand higher interest rates in anticipation of future inflation. Such a situation would be a sign of what Ludwig von Mises called a crack-up boom. A crack-up boom occurs when the public anticipates continuing devaluation of the currency, causing them to factor future price increases into their economic plans.

Crack-up booms are preceded or accompanied by economic crises that can lead to the rise of authoritarianism. However, this is not inevitable. Important steps can be taken including cutting spending on militarism and corporate welfare, phasing out the entitlement and welfare programs, and auditing and ending the Fed. Those of us who know the truth should seek to convince our fellow citizens of the importance of restoring a limited, constitutional government that does not try to run the economy, run the world, or run our lives.

Police working to combat human trafficking

Pol Maj Gen Thitawat Suriyachai, chief of the Cyber Crime Investigation Bureau’s Sub-Bureau 4, told the press that over the past year, approximately 100,000 similar cases involving children have been committed. He said the police believe they are linked to human trafficking rings.

Meanwhile, Nanta Waikakul, director of the Children and Youth Protection Division, said her division has been working to educate children on how to protect themselves from being targeted by criminals. Her division also provides shelter to victims of these heinous crimes.

The National Research Council of Thailand reports most trafficked children were smuggled into the Kingdom from Cambodia, Laos, and Myanmar for sexual exploitation or forced labor.

Besides children from neighboring countries, children from Thai ethnic groups in upper Thailand are also falling victim to human trafficking.
