Former President Barack Obama officiated a wedding for two of his former White House staffers in Washington over the weekend, Washingtonian reports.
Obama presided over the Jan. 21 wedding of Dana Remus, a former lawyer for his administration, and Brett Holmgren, who served as a special assistant to the president and on the National Security Council as senior director for intelligence programs.
“We had decided to invite him because he was such an important part of our lives, we asked him if he could attend the wedding, and as we discussed it, he was intrigued with the idea of officiating a wedding,” Holmgren told the magazine.
