Upon his inauguration in January 2021, Cambridge Mayor Andrew Bradshaw became the youngest Mayor in the history of the City of Cambridge.
Mayor Bradshaw is a lifelong resident of the Cambridge area. As a child, he developed a strong interest in local affairs. Following an internship with Senator Richard Colburn that took him to Annapolis for the first time, Mayor Bradshaw worked at his family's business, Roy Bradshaw's Body Shop, then attended Penn State University. There, he became a leader in the university community, writing for the student newspaper and serving in leadership roles on student boards, including one board that disbursed an annual $3.8 million budget to other student organizations. He graduated from Penn State with a 3.91 GPA and three degrees.
Following college graduation, Mayor Bradshaw again went to Annapolis, serving as an aide in the Larry Hogan administration, before coming back to help manage his family's businesses. Since his return to the businesses, they have added nine employees, and added a location in Easton. Mayor Bradshaw has made one of the missions of the business the support of community events and initiatives.
Mayor Bradshaw remains deeply involved in the community. His greatest passion is for service with Cambridge Rescue Fire Company, where he is a probationary firefighter and co-chairman of the beloved Train Garden, now in its eighth decade
