We saw what happened when amateur enthusiasts got hold of serial computers, and the same thing is happening (for good and bad) with the GPU powered neural networks.

These machines are far more powerful and potentially dangerous than the serial machines we grew up with, and look at the havoc those have unleashed, fueled by explosive accelerant of crime permitted by anonymous networking.

The AI applications of the GPUs can power forms of economic predation against which we have no evolved defenses, nor even awareness of. A trained CNN (convolutional neural network) can pick gamers clean after analyzing in and out of game data about the player.

A CNN app can manipulate our emotions, adjusting our information supply, directing our attention monitoring us until we're tired and distracted, and our brain state predisposes us to click the button and buy the product, sign the petition, reply to the fake email and any of 10,000k known cognitive exploits.

We can stop this technology being used on us without our consent by replacing the internet with a network on which every users has a single, permanent life time identity, just as we do in 3D material space.

We have reached a stage of civilization where processing power can be converted directly into economic advantage or other forms of power.

It is important people using and working with this technology be ethical. IE uninclined by nature to suck the life out of other living beings. Beings who do prey on others, such as the satanic pedovore cultists, should not be allowed to deploy this tech - as they are now in games - against an unwitting civilian population.

Insecure, anonymous networks like the internet will not support free civilization.
