Turkey Busts Suspect in Connection with Slain Haitian President
Authorities have arrested a suspect in the assassination of president Jovenel Moise.
Businessman Samir Handal, who was subject to a red notice from Interpol, was detained at Istanbul airport. Few details are known at this time and it's unclear whether Haiti will seek extradition.
President Moise was gunned down at his private residence in July. Since then, there have been over forty arrests, but nobody has been charged or convicted. Colombian mercenaries had previously emerged as the main suspects.
