Rep. Cori Bush (D-MO) believes that if 18-year-old Kyle Rittenhouse gets acquitted on the grounds of self-defense, white supremacists will be emboldened to shoot at Black Lives Matter protesters.

Repeating the lie that Michael Brown was “murdered” at the hands of a white police officer, Cori Bush falsely claimed on Monday that white supremacists in Ferguson, Missouri, would literally hide up in the hills and callously shoot at protesters.

“When we marched in Ferguson, white supremacists would hide behind a hill near where Michael Brown Jr. was murdered and shoot at us,” she said. “They never faced consequences. If Kyle Rittenhouse gets acquitted, it tells them that even 7 years later they still can get away with it.”

Black Lives Matter activist Ohun Ashe backed up the congresswoman’s claim.

“This is FACTS! I vividly remember hiding under porches in Canfield as shots were fired at us. No one came to help us. We would come from under porches using cars as shields in between gun shots to make it out,” tweeted Ashe.

When further pressed for comment, a spokesperson for the Bush campaign said that white supremacists opened fire on the congresswoman while providing no specifics.

“While on the frontlines of the Ferguson Uprising, Congresswoman Bush and other activists were shot at by white supremacist vigilantes. The question we need to ask is why white supremacists feel empowered to open-carry rifles, incite violence, and put Black lives at risk across our country,” the spokesperson said.

Vaccine Booster Shot Rollout ‘Abysmal’ in California; Requires Patients to ‘Lie’

Booster shot rollout for coronavirus vaccines has been “abysmal” in California thus far, the San Francisco Chronicle reports, because most adults do not meet the federal criteria required by the websites on which vaccine appointments are schedules.

Though Gov. Gavin Newsom (D) wants all adults to receive a booster shot before the holiday season, given concern about declining immunity from shots administered earlier in the year. But as the Chronicle notes, the state system is not yet ready:

[M]ost online vaccination scheduling systems — including the state’s MyTurn appointment site — still show the specific eligibility categories to receive a booster dose that were in place before state and county officials last week began encouraging booster shots for all.

Those categories follow federal guidelines from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. The standard says shots are available to those who are 65 and older; people who got the Johnson & Johnson vaccine; and any adult 18 and over with underlying health conditions or who works or lives in a high-risk setting.

People who do not tick one of those boxes are unable to book appointments.

Until the change that’s promised on Wednesday, people using the MyTurn.ca.gov site or clinic attestation forms who do not qualify under the older criteria will have to lie and say they fall into one of the eligible categories to secure an appointment slot.

“Booster uptake has been abysmal,” said Peter Chin-Hong, an infectious disease specialist with UCSF.

Newsom received a booster shot on Oct. 27 to encourage the public to do the same; it was unclear if he fit into a risk group.

EXCLUSIVE:Venezuelan Migrant Apprehensions at Border Up 9000 Percent

Breitbart Texas reviewed preliminary arrest data indicating some migrant demographics encountered in October have increased upwards of 9,000 percent when compared to October 2020. The documents were provided by a source within Customs and Border Protection (CBP) not authorized to speak to media.

CBP does not normally release these data and instead will combine migrant arrests of citizens outside Mexico and northern triangle Central American countries as “Other.”

In October, nearly 8,000 Brazilian nationals were arrested, a more than 4,000 percent increase over last October. More than 13,000 Venezuelan nationals were arrested representing a 9,000 percent increase over the same period. More than 9,000 Nicaraguans were encountered, marking an increase of 3,500 percent.

A total of 30,537 migrants were apprehended from these three countries in October. Nearly half were single adults. More than 15,000 were members of family units and less than 400 were unaccompanied minors.

As for the Venezuelan nationals, many moved to neighboring Colombia and other third countries before heading to the United States.

The Border Patrol is frequently encountering large groups from Venezuela, Nicaragua, and Brazil in rural West Texas. Groups nearly 200 have become the norm near Eagle Pass.

The spike in arrests of migrants from outside the Northern Triangle countries, according to the source, demonstrates the likelihood that pull factors caused by reduced deportations are having a greater influence than problems in home countries.

The source says the increase in migrant arrests from Venezuela, Brazil, and Nicaragua threaten to add to an already untenable situation along the southern border.

Trump Impeachment Counsel Goldman Announces Run for NY AG — ‘I Was on the Front Lines‘

Thursday on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe,” network contributor Daniel Goldman announced he was entering the race to be attorney general of New York.

Goldman, who was the lead Trump impeachment investigator for Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA) on the House Intelligence Committee, emphasized his experience of working on “the front line fighting for the rule of law.”

“I was on the front lines during the impeachment proceedings as lead counsel, and I have been on the front lines fighting for the rule of law and democracy my entire career,” Goldman outlined. “And today, I am announcing that I am going to run for attorney general of New York to get back on the front lines to fight these very, very important battles to preserve our democratic values, to preserve the rule of law, and to represent the people of New York as the people’s lawyer.”

Goldman said that as New York attorney general, he would focus on fighting for voting rights, reproductive rights, climate change, criminal justice reform, and “holding the wealthy and well-connected accountable.”

“It’s an incredibly powerful office where someone with independence and experience is, I think, really important to have as the leader. And I would like to be that person to help on the front lines to make sure that everybody is playing by the same rules,” he added.

Senate Candidate Josh Mandel Slams ‘Silicon Valley Thugs’ After Facebook Censors Rittenhouse Meme

Former Ohio State Treasurer and early Trump supporter Josh Mandel, who is running in the Republican primary to represent Ohio in the U.S. Senate, was censored by Facebook-owned Instagram earlier today for posting a “soyface wojak” or “soyjak” meme in support of Kyle Rittenhouse.

In a comment to Breitbart News, Mandel slammed “thugs” and “oligarchs” in Silicon Valley for censoring him, labeling them along with the establishment media “the enemy of the people.”

The meme Mandel posted mocked left-wing commentary around the Rittenhouse trial, in particular the importance that left-wingers give to the fact that Rittenhouse crossed state lines to be in Kenosha, WI, on the night of the riot.

The image features the popularinternet meme “soyface wojak,” which typically represents a leftist or low-testosterone man. In the top panel, Soyjak describes borders as “just imaginary lines on a map.” In the bottom panel, the same Soyjak, visibly distressed, complains that Rittenhouse crossed the border of a state.

According to Instagram, this meme violated the platform’s guidelines on “violence or dangerous organizations,” and warned Mandel that he could lose access to his account if he continued to violate the rules.
