Let’s start with the first set of ivories under the Griffin/Sphinx Theme:

I’ve already said many times before that the Griffin, and it’s mutated form the Sphinx, represent royalty = so when you see one of these fabulous animal around, you must suspect there is a Sebetti royal close by. We’ve already seen the Griffin in Evidence # 3 (starting page 1 714). I’ve said back then that there is a big number of artifacts with Griffins/Sphinxes on them in Phoenicia; the ivories fit in there as well. See how the evidences are connected to one another?

These artifacts are simply stunning. Do you even know how small these are? And just look how intricate the design is. These are carved by hand…and on ivory on top of everything. These are projecting a very high level of craftsmanship and expertise in this domain, which is not obtained in a blink. And the designs need TIME to evolve. So, for these ivories to reach this LEVEL at the Assyrian times, then…. How long did they exist before this to reach this perfection and this intertwined, elaborate design?

Please take note and memorize the designs here, mostly how the Griffin looks like. We are going to need it later on. ^_~ It’s very important.

And anons, as I’ve already mentioned about the page number, this one has an annex to it.

As the reader can see, the Griffin design changed, and it took Horus head over a Feline body. Another change transform it completely into the Sphinx = winged lion body with human head. And it’s more than clear here the influence of the Ancient Egyptian Art on these artifacts. The empty tiny boxes we see on the wings, mostly, are where the gems used to fit in.
