I just read this so I think so considering his response

@KurtSchlichter

My guess - @JackPosobiec

is right that 1-2 jurors are afraid to acquit and are holding up the verdict.

If there is a mistrial, I hope the judge grants the misconduct mistrial motion he has not yet considered and does so with prejudice.

Poll: Majority of Voters Believe Joe Biden Is Untrustworthy, Dishonest, Incapable

Anons to brighten your day

The majority of registered voters believe President Joe Biden is untrustworthy, dishonest, and incapable of leading the nation, a Politico/Morning Consult poll revealed Wednesday.

A majority of 51 percent believe their president is untrustworthy while only 43 percent believe Biden can be trusted. Moreover, a majority of 51 percent think Biden is dishonest as only 44 percent believe Biden tells the truth.

Asked whether Biden keeps his promises, a majority of 52 percent said Biden breaks his promises with 39 percent alleging he keeps his promises.

A majority of 56 percent also say Biden is a weak leader. Thirty-eight percent said he is a strong leader.

When respondents were asked if Biden is capable of leading the country, a majority of 53 percent said he is not capable and 41 percent said he is.

A majority of respondents also said Biden is not energetic (60 to 34 percent) while a similar majority asserts Biden is not a clear communicator (57 to 37 percent).

A majority of voters don’t want President Joe Biden to run for reelection in 2024 and believe he should instead make way for another candidate, according to a Hill-HarrisX poll released Tuesday. https://t.co/NVKGvlA1vF

The poll additionally asked whether Biden was mentally fit and healthy to be the president. Forty-eight percent said Biden is not mentally fit and 46 percent said he is. Just 40 percent said Biden is in good health while 50 percent did not believe so.

According to Politico, voters believed Biden was mentally fit by a 21 point margin in November of 2021. Voters also believed last year that Biden was in good health by 19 point margin.

The terrible poll comes as the United States has felt the impact of the president’s policies. For instance, inflation is at a thirty-year high. CNBC reported October 31 that, “Inflation notches a fresh 30-year high as measured by the Fed’s favorite gauge.”

The poll sampled 1998 registered voters between November 13-15. The poll has a margin of error of 2 percentage points.

Rittenhouse Jury Asks About Videos; Judge: ‘My Nightmare Has Come True

The jury in the murder trial of Kyle Rittenhouse asked Judge Bruce Schroeder in the Kenosha County Court on Wednesday morning whether it should view video evidence in court or in private, prompting the judge to quip: “My nightmare has come true.”

The judge was referring to controversies over the video evidence presented by the prosecution during the trial, including whether zoomed-in images enhanced by artificial intelligence were admissible, and whether the prosecution withheld a higher resolution version of a video than the version that had been provided to the defense until the last day of the trial.

The defense moved to dismiss the case on Tuesday, arguing that the prosecution had improperly withheld the evidence.

It was not immediately clear which video, in particular, the jury was asking to review, on its second day of deliberations.

The jury asked two questions — one about where to view the video, and the other about the numberings of video evidence exhibits.

During closing argument last Friday, the prosecution attempted to use high-resolution video to argue that Rittenhouse had raised his rifle and aimed it before he was charged by Joseph Rosenbaum, the first person he shot during the riot on Aug. 25, 2020. The defense argued — with the jury absent — that the prosecution had used an invalid method to enhance the image, and told the jury that Rittenhouse had been facing the opposite direction and would not have aimed a rifle with his left hand.

Ultimately, the judge said that the jury would view the video in court, with all spectators and lawyers absent.

Judge Schroeder also addressed controversies in the media, including his decision to prohibit the prosecution from referring to the three men shot by Rittenhouse (one of whom survived and testified) as “victims,” his unusual practice of allowing the defendant to draw the numbers of six alternate jurors out of a barrel, and his delay on defense motions to dismiss the case.

He also blasted harassment directed against both the prosecution and defense attorneys, calling it “shameful, some of the things that are being done to these people.” He added that he might not be inclined to allow trials to be televised in future.

On Tuesday, the first day of deliberations, the jury asked specifically for 11 additional copies of the instructions on self-defense.The request to review video evidence suggests that they are studying the question of self-defense very closely.

Biden blames rising gas prices on 'anti-consumer behavior' from oil companies; industry fires back

Bidan has more excuses than Obama, if that's possible

President Joe Biden on Wednesday blamed collusion between oil and gas companies for rising prices at the pump and is asking the Federal Trade Commission to investigate "anti-consumer behavior."

In a letter to FTC Chairwoman Lina Khan, Biden claimed there is "mounting evidence of anti-consumer behavior by oil and gas companies." His letter comes as gas prices are at a seven-year high, on average more than a dollar more expensive than they were last year.

"The bottom line is this: gasoline prices at the pump remain high, even though oil and gas companies' costs are declining," Biden wrote. "The Federal Trade Commission has authority to consider whether illegal conduct is costing families at the pump. I believe you should do so."

The president observed that gasoline prices rose by 3% last month while the price of unfinished gasoline declined by 5% in the same period.

"This unexplained large gap between the price of unfinished gasoline and the average price at the pump is well above the pre-pandemic average," Biden wrote.

He added that the "two largest oil and gas companies in the United States" — Exxon and Chevron, according to CNBC — are projected to nearly double their net income compared to 2019, before the pandemic. "They have announced plans to engage in billions of dollars of stock buybacks and dividends this year or next," Biden wrote.

"I do not accept hard-working Americans paying more for gas because of anti-competitive or otherwise potentially illegal conduct," Biden declared.

"I therefore ask that the Commission further examine what is happening with oil and gas markets, and that you bring all of the Commission's tools to bear if you uncover any wrongdoing."

According to an October report from the American Automobile Association, the national average price for a gallon of regular gas stood at $3.22, the most expensive it has been since 2014. Prices have continued to rise, reaching an average of $3.41 per gallon on Nov. 8, according to data from the U.S. Energy Information Administration. The agency reported that fuel taxes account for about 15% of the price average consumers nationwide pay per gallon.

The president's letter did not provide evidence of illegal activity by oil and gas companies.

Economists say the real cause of rising gas prices is factors entirely outside of any president's control — market supply and demand.

As coronavirus lockdowns were lifted and Americans have begun traveling more frequently, demand for gas went up. In the spring of 2020, after "15 days to slow the spread," the number of vehicle miles measured by the Federal Highway Administration plunged from 272 billion miles traveled in December 2019 to 166 billion miles in April. By summer 2021, highway traffic returned to its pre-pandemic normal.

At the same time, supply chain disruptions and energy market disruptions overseas have constrained the supply of gas, Business Insider reported.
