It is a true statement in many ways. Seeing an animal suffer causes emotions that I cannot explain, However, when I see a child that is trafficked or otherwise abused, the emotion is similar. I cannot say I love one life more than the other, I see the same innocence and I feel the same pain in my heart. Some might say I should see it otherwise but it is what it is.
