It will be Buttigieg. You heard it here first.
The same big $ donors who backed Obama in ‘08 (e.g. David Geffen) were initially backing Buttigieg in the Democratic primaries, but they realized quickly that Americans would not elect someone like Buttigieg. They still wanted him in the office but they had to relent and put potato up there because he was the only one with the name recognition to be competitive with Trump. Keep in mind that Jill Biden has been rumored to be inquiring about how to remove a sitting VP. The Biden’s and the whole world know Joe isn’t mentally up to the job. They understand he needs to step aside, but they also can’t stand Harris. I believe they plan to do whatever they can to get Harris out first, then replace her (I believe with Buttigieg), then Joe will resign or they’ll 25th him out and they’ll have the POTUS they really wanted to begin with without having to get him elected.
I think the real power players behind the scenes want Buttigieg. If so, it’ll be Buttigieg.
