I was in Portland the other evening and there were 2 blackhawk helicopters running black-out (no visible lights) over the downtown area. They were getting shot at and PPB never responded. I stood there for 10 minutes waiting and nothing. PPB and MCSO have been getting hammered this year with antifa beating the shit out of them and no political support. Add to that vaccine mandates and it gets even worse. Morale is super low and many are just waiting to quit. This incident reminded me that I have not yet seen any kind discussions on how effective this insurgency the communists have been running here truly is. One of my best friends is retired army and we went out for coffee last night. He told me in his professional opinion that antifa will not be ready or able to take over anything here for another 5 - 7 years. He said they just can't fight and aren't enough of a threat for the vets to take seriously. He see's things different than local police and civilians because he went to Afghanistan and Iraq both. He said he wants to move away and I asked him where his red line is and he said the communists can have Portland for all he cares.

After the lack of police response to helicopters getting shot at, they could take the city now if they wanted to. My friend just doesn't get how scary what they represent are to people who have never been to war, I guess. He is one of many vets that need to wake up. I saw they were jumping for a fight while 45 was in office but haven't seen any real reason to get involved yet.

The discipline and patience of those guys is unreal. I'm running around over here like my hair is on fire.

It's a very scary time here in Portland.
