Montenegro probes allegations of President Djukanovic’s involvement in money-laundering ring
Montenegro’s specialised prosecution has launched a probe into allegations by Albanian oil businessman Rezart Taci that President Milo Djukanovic has been participating in an international money laundering scheme, public broadcaster RTCG reported on November 17.
Djukanovic is also being probed over revelations in the Pandora Papers that he and his son Blazo have been funnelling money to offshore accounts via a complicated network of companies in the UK, Switzerland, the British Virgin Islands, Panama and Gibraltar.

Wiretaps published in Albanian media suggested Taci had involved Djukanovic in the transfer of money to Prva Bank.
Concerns about the bank and money laundering have been raised since 2016 when the European Parliament asked Montenegro to investigate and prosecute high-level corruption, including at the bank.
