House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) yielded the floor on Friday morning at 5:11 a.m. after speaking for a record eight hours and forty-two minutes against the Democrats’ multi-trillion-dollar “Build Back Better” social spending bill.

“My one minute is almost up,” McCarthy joked at 5:04 a.m., referring to the fact that members of the House were originally given only 60 seconds to state their views on the bill before a vote that was meant to have taken place on Thursday evening.

McCarthy’s address smashed the previous record — an eight-hour, seven-minute address by Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) in 2018 in support of the Delayed Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program, which benefits illegal aliens who arrived as minors.

Unlike Pelosi, who spoke during the daylight hours, McCarthy spoke all night long (though not in four-inch high heels).

Throughout the early part of his address, McCarthy was heckled and interrupted by irate Democrats, but the Republican temporarily on duty in the chair refused to tell him to stop, and repeatedly gaveled the House into order as he spoke.

Eventually, Democrats surrendered and adjourned the proceedings until Friday morning at 8:00 a.m., leaving McCarthy and the Republicans in the chamber to continue. Unlike the Senate, there is no “filibuster rule” in the House that suspends a vote as long as one member continues speaking, but McCarthy just refused to stop.

McCarthy broke down the bill, attacking it for lavish spending on Democrats’ favored special interest groups while raising taxes on middle-class Americans — and providing an effective tax cut for the wealthy in high-tax, Democrat-run states.

He noted that the bill does not spend on border security, or on expanding American energy production, and that Democrats rejected Republican amendments, including one to prohibit funding from going to the Chinese Communist Party.

Throughout his address, McCarthy was backed by Republican members, who sat behind him to present a unified appearance for the C-SPAN cameras, which continued to roll overnight.

Noting that his speech was the “longest minute ever given in this body,” McCarthy added that the country was at a “tipping point,” and that the bill — which will add $750 billion to the deficit in the first five years, according to the Congressional Budget Office (CBO) — represented a step toward socialist policies that had already failed in other countries, and government programs that could never be undone.

Democrats, citing their own analysis, claimed that the bill would reduce the deficit — a key point, since President Joe Biden has repeatedly claimed that it will add “zero” to the deficit and is “fully paid for.”

Republicans rose to their feet in a standing ovation as McCarthy finally finished and the House chamber emptied. Democrats are expected to hold the delayed vote later Friday morning.

Defense attorneys for 18-year-old defendant Kyle Rittenhouse told Fox News on Thursday that the mysterious “jump kick man” had been identified — and that prosecutors had known his identity all along, but had not brought him to testify.

“Jump kick man” was seen in video of the Kenosha riots on August 25, 2020, pursuing Rittenhouse and kicking him in the face as Rittenhouse attempted to flee to police and stumbled onto the ground. Rittenhouse fired his rifle twice at “jump kick man,” but missed.

One of the two charges of reckless endangerment that Rittenhouse now faces is a result of that altercation — one of five charges currently being considered by the jury — even though prosecutors never named the alleged victim.

Fox News reported that the man is named Maurice Freeland, and that he has a lengthy criminal record. According to Fox, citing defense attorneys, he told prosecutors he would testify in exchange for immunity, but they refused the deal:

The man known as “jump kick man” during the trial of Kyle Rittenhouse is 39-year-old Maurice Freeland of Wisconsin, defense attorneys revealed to Fox News Thursday.

…

Freeland approached the prosecution to testify in exchange for immunity for other charges, including a DUI, but they rejected the offer, according to a source familiar with the discussions.

Wisconsin arrest records show that Freeland has a lengthy criminal history, including charges for battery, disorderly conduct, possession of marijuana and other offenses this year.

They also apparently withheld his name from the defense, preventing Rittenhouse’s attorneys from calling him as a witness. That could prompt the defense to file a new motion for a mistrial, in addition to the two that are already pending with the judge.

Prosecutors have also faced criticism for charging Joshua Ziminski with arson. Ziminski allegedly fired the first shots that night, before Rittenhouse fired at his first assailant, but his pending testimony in his arson trial means that he could not be compelled to testify in the Rittenhouse trial because that might violate his Fifth Amendment rights against self-incrimination.

Shut to Fuck Up Fauci

National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases head Dr. Anthony Fauci said Thursday on MSNBC’s “All In” that if you were in a setting where you do not know the vaccine status of people, “then you should be wearing a mask.”

Hayes asked, “In terms of people gathering and the sort of colder weather, which is coming, and we’re seeing cases go up. I keep telling everyone I know this, like, prepare yourself. There will be cases going up this winter. If people are going to get together for gatherings like Thanksgiving, how should they be thinking about it? My instinct is, you know, everyone should be vaccinated, and you should get boosted if you can. Maybe test the day of. How do you think about it?”

Fauci said, “Well, the situation is — and let’s just take a scenario, you have a family setting. You’re vaccinated. Your family members are vaccinated, and even if the children who are yet too young to get vaccinated, go have an enjoyable Thanksgiving in your home. You don’t need to wear a mask.”

He continued, “The situation is that when you are outside in indoor congregant settings where you do not know the vaccine status of people, then you should be wearing a mask. If you’re in a situation where everybody is vaccinated, then you really don’t need to wear a mask. If you’re at home, that’s the situation. That’s the reason why the CDC says when you’re in congregant settings, and you have no idea who’s around you, there’s no requirement for vaccination. That’s when you need to wear a mask. If you know people are vaccinated, you don’t need to wear a mask.”

Fauci added, “Anybody who starts saying you shouldn’t be wearing a mask because we don’t know if masks work, that’s been put to bed. Masks work, period. There are many studies that now show that. Just like the recent study that has come out from the British study, just literally today it came out.”

They also cannot admit they willingly and knowingly participated in a coup against the President, that will bring charges from Durham. Cant wait until the media colluders are charged by him, they will not get off for this. Trying to cover for this is not possible.

>As more of the secret evidence used to justify the Russia probe becomes public, an increasingly dark portrait of the FBI’s conduct emerges.

They say this in the article but aren’t they concerned with FBI going after parents and journalists now, its a continuation of the same lawlessness and destruction of Trump and Trump supporters. The tell is FBI is not going after leftie parents or MSM journalists
