Longest lunar eclipse in half-a-century coinciding with“Blood Beaver"moon begins
Parts of the world witnessed the moon change colour, turning red as it passed through the Earth's shadow – the longest partial lunar eclipse in 580 years, according to NASA, with 97% of the moon covered in shadow.
This full moon is known as the 'Beaver Blood micro-moon', as it coincides with Native American tribes setting beaver traps and is at its furthest point from Earth.

Prince Charles attends event as part of Sustainable Markets Initiative in Cairo
Prince Charles of Wales witnessed on Friday an event held as part of the Sustainable Markets Initiative, which includes young entrepreneurs, at the headquarters of the Greek Campus near Cairo’s Tahrir Square.
Received by Minister of Environment Yasmine Fouad, the British heir-to-the-throne was briefed on the experiences of some entrepreneurs in carrying out innovative projects that help provide solutions to various challenges in the Egyptian society.

NATO praises deployment of US nukes in Eastern Europe
Jens Stoltenberg, the Secretary General of NATO, has urged member states to remain committed to plans that see deadly American nuclear weapons shared across the military bloc’s eastern frontier, close to the border with Russia.
In a speech at the German Atlantic Association on Friday, Stoltenberg said the move was necessary because of the threat purportedly posed by Moscow. “Our aim is a world free of nuclear weapons,” he said, “but as long as others have them, NATO must have them too.”
