Thanks for sharing this work by Ellerbe, though it could have been easily titled the Dark Side of Roman History.
Christianity wasn’t a religion that was corrupted. The corruption began with its institutionalization as the official religion of the Roman State. And we are still dealing with that corruption today, 2000 years later thru it’s evil institutional offspring.
But, none of that negates the fact that Christ, a human being, took a stand against the false authorities of his day - the moneychangers, the Pharisees, the scribes, the levites, etc. and showed that salvation comes thru the truthful individual, not thru the state. That Truth stands eternal 😊
