Trump uses two iPhones, one specifically for Twitter — but White House staffers are reportedly worried that phone might not be secure

President Donald Trump uses two iPhones.

One only has Twitter and news apps installed. The other iPhone can only make calls.

Trump reportedly won't let White House staff check the "Twitter phone" to make sure it hasn't been hacked.

How does President Donald Trump send his tweets and make his calls?

From one of his two iPhones, according to a new report in Politico.

Trump has two iPhones that were given to him by White House staffers: One that's just for Twitter that's only equipped with the Twitter app and a few news sites, and one that's only capable of making calls.

There's a White House photo from early 2017 that shows Trump using what looks like an iPhone 6S Plus with a special security case.

Both iPhones are locked down and have features like GPS turned off, according to the report, but there are still lingering fears that Trump could be tracked through his smartphones thanks their cameras and microphones. Trump apparently won't allow staffers to swap out his "Twitter phone" to check it hasn't been hacked because it would be "too inconvenient."

But just because Trump has a phone dedicated to tweeting doesn't mean he's individually typing all of his tweets. Staffers write tweet suggestions, sometimes with grammar errors and misspellings included on purpose, the Boston Globe reported.

Former President Barack Obama had a BlackBerry phone, but it was extremely locked down. "I get the thing, and they're all like, 'Well, Mr. President, for security reasons … it doesn't take pictures, you can't text, the phone doesn't work … you can't play your music on it,'" Obama joked in 2016.

Former President George W. Bush gave up his email habit after he was elected in 2000.

Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton was harshly criticized for conducting government business through a private email server, especially by Trump, who said her decision put American citizens in "great danger" because of the risk her server could be hacked.

Donald Glover fans take over popular Donald Trump subreddit

Never say fans can’t change the world; or at the very least, change the internet.

Donald Glover’s biggest fans have staged a mass takeover of a popular Donald Trump subreddit, simply referred to as The Donald. Note this isn’t the same subreddit as the massively popular, extremely problematic and notorious forum, The_Donald. Unlike The_Donald, which has more than 600,000 community members, The Donald boasts just over 16,000 members.

Trump seeks delay in Summer Zervos' defamation lawsuit

In a filing on Monday, Trump told the state’s Court of Appeals that Summer Zervos’ lawsuit should be put on hold because a sitting U.S. president is immune from being sued in a state court during his term in the White House.

Zervos’ lawyer did not immediately respond on Tuesday to requests for comment.

Trump, who has denied Zervos’ allegations, is challenging a March 20 ruling by Justice Jennifer Schecter of the State Supreme Court in Manhattan allowing the case to proceed.

Saying “no one is above the law,” Schecter rejected Trump’s claim of immunity over private conduct predating his becoming president.

An intermediate state appeals court on May 17 refused to halt Zervos’ lawsuit, without ruling on its merits.

Trump said that refusal qualified as a “final appealable order” justifying intervention by the Court of Appeals.

A preliminary conference before Schecter is scheduled for June 5, court records show.

Zervos accused Trump of subjecting her to unwanted kissing and groping after she sought career advice in 2007.

She came forward during the 2016 presidential campaign, and Trump called such allegations by women “lies.” He also retweeted a post calling Zervos’ claims a “hoax.”

Zervos said Trump defamed her by branding her a liar. She is seeking a retraction or an apology, compensatory damages and punitive damages in her lawsuit.

>Pan Am 103

US government officials

There were at least four US government officials on the passenger list with rumours, never confirmed, of a fifth on board. The presence of these men on the flight later gave rise to conspiracy theories, in which one or more of them were said to have been targeted.[28]

Matthew Gannon, the Central Intelligence Agency's deputy station chief in Beirut, Lebanon, was sitting in Clipper Class, Pan Am's version of business class,[29] seat 14J. Major Chuck "Tiny" McKee, a US Army officer returning from an assignment with the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) in Beirut, sat behind Gannon in the centre aisle, seat 15F. Two Diplomatic Security Service (DSS) special agents were also on board, acting as bodyguards to Gannon and McKee. They were sitting in economy: Ronald LaRiviere, security officer from the US Embassy in Beirut, in 20H; Daniel O'Connor, security officer from the US Embassy in Nicosia, Cyprus, was five rows behind LaRiviere in 25H, leaving both men seated over the right wing. The four men had flown together from Cyprus that morning.

(((David Letterman’s Netflix interview series)))

Howard Stern: Trump Called Ivanka a '10' in R-rated Chat

On an upcoming segment of David Letterman’s Netflix interview series 'My Next Guest Needs No Introduction,' Stern recalled conversations with Trump in which he judged the physical attractiveness of women

Before he became President, Donald Trump made frequent appearances on Howard Stern’s radio show — and Stern says he was a great guest because he would “say anything on his mind.”

On an upcoming segment of David Letterman’s Netflix interview series “My Next Guest Needs No Introduction,” Stern recalled conversations with Trump in which he judged the physical attractiveness of women, including Angelina Jolie and his daughter Ivanka.

“I’d say, ‘Mr. Trump, tell me, who are the great beauties? If I ask you some names, can you tell me who the great beauties are?,’” Stern said.

“First of all, the great beauties, Howard, are not actresses. It’s models,” Trump replied, according to Stern. “Anyone who works in the entertainment industry, really, I’ve only seen sixes and sevens.”

Stern said the conversation then turned to specific women. “Well, you know Donald, I think Angelina Jolie is a great beauty,” Stern recalled saying. To which Trump allegedly replied, “Seven. You know who’s a great beauty? My daughter Ivanka. Now, she’s a 10.”

The radio and TV personality also added that he regards Trump as a “great guest” for a radio show because of his willing responsiveness and candor.

“For me, a guest who comes on and says anything that is in his mind is a great guest,” Stern said. “He would get on, and no matter what I asked him, he would answer in a very sincere and thought out way.”—Variety.com

WHITE HOUSE PUSHES BACK ON REPORT THAT TRUMP’S CELL PHONES NOT SECURE

(WASHINGTON) — The White House is forcefully pushing back on a report that asserts that President Donald Trump’s cell phones are not equipped with sufficiently advanced security features and that the president has resisted efforts to swap out the phones as frequently as they should be.

“The White House is confident in the security protocols in place for the President’s use of communications devices,” a senior White House official told ABC News.

POLITICO reported Monday that the president has resisted efforts to swap out his phone on a monthly basis because it was inconvenient. While the White House declined to say exactly how frequently the president’s devices are rotated, citing security concerns, the senior official stressed that the process is routine and regular.

“The president has accepted every device and process related to mobile phones recommended by White House Information Technology,” the official said.

The president uses at least two separate devices at any given time, according to the White House, with one device being used specifically for Twitter and a separate device used for making calls.

“The call-capable phones are seamlessly swapped out on a regular basis through routine support operations,” said the official, who noted that the phone used for tweeting does not have to be swapped out with as much frequency as the phone for calls.

“Because of the security controls of the Twitter phone and the Twitter account, it does not necessitate regular change out,” the official said.

The POLITICO report further asserted that the president’s cell phone security procedures are a break from the protocols followed by his predecessors. But a White House official insisted that, due to the fast-paced evolution in cell phone technology and security, comparisons can’t be fairly drawn between President Trump’s phone security protocols and those utilized during the Obama-era.

“Due to inherent capabilities and advancement in technologies, these devices are more secure than any Obama era devices,” the official said.
