Back in the 50's, 1950's and before it was normal to lock up the abnormal
you could smoke whenever and wherever you liked
you could drink as much as you liked even in public spaces
you could buy dynamite, shoot squirrels in the back yard with a shotgun
whack your kids if they stepped out of line,
getting off a traffic violation was as simple as outrunning the cops
all those dangerous things
now banned
pretty much everybody was nice to each other
and it was much safer than it is today
so forgive me for being just a little bit skeptical about the government claiming to be looking out for our well being.
