When Wikileak's founder Julian Assange published the blatant war crimes of the US Government, the US Gov. and IC became so paranoid that they tried to block access to Wikileaks altogether, and attempted to blacklist the IP for all citizens.
On top of this, they threatened federal employees directly for even trying to look at Wikileaks published materials -which exposed a money laundering operation on a global scale, built on murder, with no intent to win the intractable war they had been fighting in for a decade.
Their efforts to take down the site and archive of their crimes, were unsuccessful.
