Car Smashes Thru Parade

On November 21, 2021, a man drove his SUV thru a Christmas Parade in Waukesha, Wisconsin.

Many people were standing on West Main Street and the surrounding blocks, celebrating a parade with marching bands, cool cars, and many other things of the Christmas spirit. Some time during the event though, a man in a red Ford Escape started approaching the crowds dangerously. It is unofficially reported that an officer started shooting at the car, hoping to stop it before it caused harm. Unfortunately, it was ineffective. In the various videos, the SUV can be seen accelerating rapidly, driving into people and never attempting to slow down. Many people became quickly shocked and horrified by the scenes. The smell of hot coffee, the view of glittery pompoms, and the array of bodies on the ground were what was left of this attack.

So far, 5 people have been confirmed dead, and as many as 40 are reported to have injuries of varying degree. A distant, non-blood relative of mine was killed in this incident.

Many groups were affected by this incident, including the Milwaukee Dancing Grannies and the Waukesha Xtreme Dance Team.
