One never knows what she was discussing on her ham radio if it was in Russian. Most of us hamfags don't speak Russian.

Does anyone have pics of her house? I would like to see what type of antennas she has.

Most technician-class ops use only VHF/UHF and good for local only. If she has a major HF antenna, she could be chatting around the world and nobody would know.

Thanks for the pic. I'm a hamfag/oldfag. I don't see an antenna that would be useful for global comms in that pic.

Just because the rules say they can use only CW doesn't mean that they abide by them.

Now, transmitting without a license gets everyone's attention. That's why you'd want at least a tech license before transmitting.

I'm now really curious as to what type of communications Nelly Ohr used with her radios:

  1. Voice communications in Russian

  2. Packet (data)

  3. Morse Code

Amazing how many new ham radio experts are on the board telling a ham with 40 years experience what we can and cannot do…
