Waukesha parade rampage suspect Darrell Brooks once wrote anti-Trump rap
The aspiring rapper posted songs with explicit lyrics on SoundCloud, including an anti-Trump and anti-police song called “X.”
“This that f–k Donald Trump flow and whoever hate it,” he raps in the song uploaded to the platform three years ago.
“Now let me talk about the b—h we call the president, a closet racist and he play his part so effortless,” he continues.
Brooks then raps “police is trippin'” before spitting “f—k the pigs.”

Ring doorbell footage, filmed minutes after the rampage, shows a shivering Brooks standing on Daniel Rider's porch before he was arrested, NBC News reports.
Daniel's house is located around half a mile from the Christmas parade route.
In the video, Brooks knocks on the door and says: “I called an Uber and I’m supposed to be waiting for it over here, but I don’t know when it’s coming.
“Can you call it for me please? I’m homeless.”
Daniel told NBC that he invited Brooks inside, made him a sandwich, gave him a jacket, and let him use his phone.
He said that he was watching football, adding he had no idea what happened at the parade.

Driver in Christmas parade tragedy is a registered sex offender in Nevada
The case is his only felony conviction in Nevada, officials said.
According to the Nevada Sex Offender Registry, Brooks has a primary address listed in Reno. He is a non-compliant Tier 2 sex offender.
Waukesha’s police chief said there was no evidence the crash on Sunday was a terrorist attack or that Brooks knew anyone in the parade.
Brooks has two open criminal cases in Milwaukee County. In one case, filed Nov. 5, he is charged with resisting or obstructing an officer, reckless endangering, disorderly conduct, bail jumping and battery. Records show $1,000 cash bond was posted on Friday.
In the other case, filed in July 2020, Brooks is charged with reckless endangering and illegal possession of a firearm.

Milwaukee Black Lives Matter activist Vaun Mayes speculated Sunday that the Christmas parade massacre in Waukesha, Wisconsin, could be a harbinger of “revolution” — then backed off the sentiment days later as more information came out about the case.
“I don’t know. Now we’ll have to wait and see because they do have somebody in custody. We may have to wait and see what they say about why this happened,” Mayes said of the deadly parade incident during Facebook Live stream on Sunday evening (archive here), as lights from first responders’ vehicles flicker on his face. “But it sounds possible that the revolution has started in Wisconsin. It started with this Christmas parade.”
