8-Year-Old Dies Following Injuries From Waukesha Christmas Parade

WAUKESHA, WI — An 8-year-old died Tuesday from injuries he sustained at the Waukesha Christmas Parade on Sunday when an SUV broke through barricades and plowed through the crowd of participants.
"This afternoon, our dear Jackson [Sparks] has sadly succumbed to his injuries and passed away," a statement posted to Sparks' church's Facebook and a verified GoFundMe account set up for his family's benefit said.
Jackson Sparks' death would bring the total death count from Sunday's tragedy to six. Police have confirmed the names of the five others who died. At least 48 people were injured.
