The KJV was the NIV of its day; a thought for thought translation into the common language of the people. NIV is just as accurate as the KJV. Neither are as accurate as the the NASB, which is more of a word for word translation, but that's a different discussion.
Indeed. I have over 50 different English translations. Original meaning comes to life when you see how it was translated by so many.
