repost from last bread.

the small plane crash in virginia this morning is notable, i believe. i'm still digging, but this is what i have so far.

the state police released the picture of the plane with the tail slightly obfuscated - but i believe the full call sign is N6177 - trail of ownership in picture.

Pilot believed to be Jeffrey Comeau - don't know how he fits in with Crenshaw/NASA.

i know that the airplane in the picture is CLEARLY not the same model registered with the FAA, BUT there are no other similar callsigns - and nothing out of Chesapeake Regional at the time of the crash. N6177 has one flight on record, and it's to/from the same airport that this flight was going.

coincidence? i don't think so.

article reports pilot is

Jeffery Comeau (but i think it's Jeffrey)

and

that dig on N6177 leads to ex-NASA Harrel Buck Crenshaw

trying to find connection between them now.

additional follow up question - do you find it odd that there's another N6177 associated with FRG?

i can't shake this coincidence (especially since the other N6177 is exNasa)
