Hunter Biden used his connection to infamous mobster James 'Whitey' Bulger to try to help his uncle get a business license in China, leaked emails revealed on Thursday.
One of the emails also involves a formal State Luncheon that was attended by then-Vice President Joe Biden and Chinese President Xi.
Jack Owens, Joe Biden's brother-in-law through his sister, reached out to Hunter on May 9, 2014 telling him a business deal Owens was negotiating in China required them to obtain a 'China Business License.'
He said his companies, MediGuide America and MediGuide Insurance Services International, reached 'a serious stage' of negotiations.
'Time pressures are very tight, plus the fact that we do not yet have one has caused a slight credibility bump in the company's mind,' Owens writes in the email.
Owens complained that the license could take 'an inordinate amount of time' which he said they 'do not have.'
'So I would be most appreciative of any help and direction you might be able to provide to help me accomplish this task timely.'
Hunter forwarded the email to two of his business associates, James Bulger and Michael Lin - but addressed them as 'J & M.'
'J & M, See email below. It's from my Uncle Jack. Is there a way we can help him expedite this? Time is of the essence here,' the president's younger son wrote.

The next email from Owens to Hunter just contains a brief 'Thx.'
Bulger and Lin are the founders of Thornton Group, a Boston-based investment advisory firm.
Bulger is the son of former Massachusetts state Senate President Billy Bulger, who is the younger brother of late mobster James 'Whitey' Bulger. Whitey Bulger was, for a time, the FBI's most wanted fugitive after Osama bin Laden. He was killed in prison by fellow inmates in 2018.

The Massachusetts-based firm is headed by James Bulger, the nephew of the notorious mob hitman James “Whitey” Bulger. Whitey was the leader of the Winter Hill Gang, part of the South Boston mafia. Under indictment for 19 murders, he disappeared. He was later arrested, tried, and convicted.
