ODU didn't have a football team until about 10 years ago, although Tidewater was, when I was there, anyway, a good recruiting area. Ron Springs, for example. ODU has done really well, too, for a young program.

This dust up now is pretty much right at peak applicant and recruit decision season. It's going to hurt. Going to be like the bullshit at Mizzou a few years back, I think. What parent wants to spend the bucks to put a kid in that environment and what stud athlete wants a rainbow glasses it as the school mascot?

Hard to believe the suits don't publicly douse this aggressively. Dipshit must be lawyered up the ass. Only remedy going forward is not to hire these things in the first place.

Hope I got the pronouns, etc., PC compliant.

I have 3 win7 machines running on hardware that I don't want to go to Win 10 with.

Just turn updates off.

I'd go with 3rd party solutions for internet security. There's package deals if you have a bunch of machines. Bitdefender has been good for me.

I use linux for servers and firewalls. A firewall solution like ipfire behind a router helps fine tune things, and you can block with more granularity.

Other thing I would recommend is a VPN and VMs.

Use different browsers or profiles for different tasks. For example, 8Kun browser in a VM and that's all you use it for.

I've used Linux desktops in VMs. I either get a distro or build one via Debian net install, like I do for my servers. Honestly, the GUis have always been a PITA. At some point they discombobulate. Tried all different GUIs, self rolled, too, and it's always the same.

Simplest solution that works well for me is Virtualbox with a stripped windows version for browsing. Build the VM, clone it, and if it spazzes delete it and go with the clone. Windows is a lot more stable in VMs for me than Linux GUIs. No comparison.

Linux updates a lot more than windows, so the chances that something gets screwed up is higher, IMO. Just don't like the GUIs. Can't beat the servers, though.
