Wood wasn't an attorney for Kyle then, just an advisor and it was assumed to be called in as a defamation lawyer only after the criminal trials were over.

I think KR was in juvenile detention in IL and was being set up to be moved to WI. Not sure if WI was gen pop or not, but Wood wanted him kept in IL because it was safer, from some of the stuff I've seen.

Ricky Schroder put the bail fund over the top with a $150,000 loan. That date would be an important marker to clear up the charge Wood wanted him kept in jail.

The other factor is, The bail funding came from #Fightback, which was set up to fight election fraud. Donors had contributed for that purpose and, most likely, would have had to agree to divert those funds to Kyle's bail raising effort. Watching the shit Kimmel gave Mike Lindell about Mike's donation to #Fightback tells me cancel culture was all over that. Not an easy decision for some, I bet.
