Basically the peels from 3 grapefruits and 3 lemons and 3 cups of water (first pic)

Bring to a boil then turn it down to simmer for 3 hours (second pic). Do not remove the lid. When done let it cool overnight. Do not lift the lid..

Strain final product (third pic).

Makes about a pint, maybe a little more. (fourth pic).
