>Who is Ed O’Callahan?

Lots of good sauce on DOJ's Ed O'Calla(g)han w/ collegial anecdotes here:

https://www.roughlyexplained.com/2018/04/rosenstein-beefs-up-team-taps-veteran-prosecutor-ed-ocallaghan-as-his-right-hand/

O’Callaghan led high-profile prosecutions related to the United Nations Oil for Food Program scandal, as well as a number of other prominent corruption and national security cases. More recently, O’Callaghan served as the number two official in the Department of Justice’s National Security Division.

It will not be an easy assignment, but O’Callaghan is no stranger to preposterous situations. In 2008, he led the McCain campaign’s efforts surrounding the “Troopergate” investigation, a family squabble involving Sarah Palin’s former brother-in-law, State Trooper Mike Wooten that, whipped by the winds of the 2008 Presidential campaign, mushroomed into accusations that then-Governor Palin improperly tried to get him fired. The Alaska Personnel Board later cleared Palin of wrongdoing.
