I posted a few weeks ago that I think the Dems plans are to get Buttigieg in the WH. My rationale is more or less that they know as well as we do that Biden is mentally unfit and he keeps on embarrassing the nation in front of the entire world, not to mention how compromised he is by China and Ukraine by both his own actions as well as those of his son. No one likes Harris, including them. Biden painted himself in a corner when he pledged to choose a female running mate and he also needed to do something to try and help with the black vote, so he chose Harris; a decision the party has come to regret. They will do whatever it takes to ensure she never takes the POTUS job. They did throw her a bone when Joe had his colonoscopy and smothered her with flattery for technically being the first female POTUS even though it was only for about an hour and it was completely inconsequential. So what to do? They need to get rid of Joe, but then KH takes his spot according to the Constitution. They can’t have that. The media has even been pushing the KH unpopularity narrative instead of trying to cover for her as would be the normal course of action. Add to that the “rumors” that Jill Biden was trying to find out ways to have a sitting VP removed and the picture gets a little clearer that the Dems have a dilemma. Now, let’s go back to 2020. In 2020, and in the latter parts of 2019, during the Democratic primaries, the same big $ donors who were supporting Obama back in ‘08 were supporting Pete Buttigieg (e.g. David Geffen). I also recall Rush Limbaugh saying something to the effect of “watch out for Mayor Pete” and that he (Buttigieg) is bound to be a future star in the Democratic Party. However, it soon became clear to them (big $ donors) that Americans just aren’t ready to vote for someone like that just yet so they had to go with the only person with name recognition and who could ride Obama’s coattails, Joe Biden. All the while they really wanted Buttigieg, but it was just an impossibility. My theory is that they know they are in trouble because Biden’s administration is a train wreck. Now they are trying to figure out how they can get rid of Harris, knowing she will put up a ferocious fight, because she will likely only make things worse. Anyway, if they can get rid of her, and then Biden or Congress (or whoever can Constitutionally) puts Buttigieg in her place, they can then go about either convincing Biden to resign or use the 25th Amendment to get him out. They couldn’t get him elected, but, as the saying goes, there’s more than one way to skin a cat.
Now when I first posted this little theory, I got some half hearted support and some fair criticism. I had no real “sauce” to support my theory, just a chain of logical predictive thought processes. Well lo and behold, I ran across a story today that pretty much postulates the same theory except the writer doesn’t see a path where this can happen but I certainly can.
