Another Media Hit Piece Goes Up in Flames: Florida Man Pleads Guilty in Attempt to Extort $25 Million from Father of Matt Gaetz

As The Gateway Pundit reported in March — The New York Times published a hit piece targeting popular Trump-supporter Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL) saying the Florida Congressman was under investigation for dating a 17-year-old girl.

The Gateway Pundit later spoke with a source close to Matt Gaetz who told us this NY Times report was completely false. Gaetz is not the target of the investigation. We were also told none of the women he was seeing were underage.

It’s not a surprise the left is after Gaetz since he is such an effective communicator and a staunch Trump supporter.

Rep. Gaetz told Axios “the allegations were as searing as they are false.”

On Tuesday night Rep. Matt Gaetz joined Tucker Carlson to discuss the New York Times hit piece.

Matt Gaetz UNLOADED on a former Justice Department official who was threatening his family and accused one of his.

Rep. Matt Gaetz: What is happening is extortion of me and my family involving a former Department of Justice official. On March 16th, my father got a text message demanding a meeting wherein a person demanded $25 million in exchange for making horrible sex trafficking allegations of me go away. Our family was so troubled by that we went to the local FBI and the FBI and the Department of Justice were so concerned about this, that they asked my dad to wear a wire. Which he did with the former Department of Justice official. Tonight I am demanding that the Department of Justice and the FBI release the audio recordings that were made under their supervision and at their direction which will prove my innocence. These allegations aren’t true and they were meant to bleed my family. This former Department of Justice official tomorrow was supposed to be contacted by my father so that specific instructions could be given regarding the wiring of $4.5 million as a down payment on this bribe. I don’t think it’s a coincidence that tonight somehow The New York Times is leaking this information, smearing me, and ruining the investigation.

Tucker Carlson: …First of all, who is this Department of Justice former employee who is trying to extort the money from you.

Rep. Gaetz: His name is David McGee… He currently works at the Beggs and Lane law firm.

Ten Times Joe Biden Promised to ‘Shut Down the Virus’

Then-candidate Joe Biden in 2020 promised at least ten times he would “shut down the virus.”

But as fresh variants have emerged since Biden assumed office in January, the president has failed to shut down the Chinese coronavirus. The New York Times acknowledged last week the United States has suffered more coronavirus deaths under Biden than under former President Donald Trump, despite vaccine availability.

The fears of a fresh variant impacting the United States caused NBC’s Chuck Todd on Sunday to slam Biden for campaigning on “taming” the virus while “prematurely declaring independence” from the virus in July.

“Ultimately, this is also a political problem,” Chuck noted. “President Biden ran on taming the pandemic. And he prematurely declared independence from the virus back in July”:

South Africa expects a fourth wave of coronavirus infections to start on Dec. 2 and to last about 75 days, Salim Abdool Karim, former chairman of the government’s ministerial advisory committee on Covid-19, said.

The government is assuming that the wave will follow a similar pattern to that of the third wave and that there will be a new variant by then, he said in a Government Technical Advisory Centre conference.

Data is suggesting the current wave will end about Aug. 26, he said.

'I felt sick going to work': Exhausted nurses walk away from their jobs in droves amid major staff shortages

Exhausted nurses are giving up their registration and walking away from their jobs in droves, unable to cope with gruelling work conditions amid chronic staff shortages.

9News.com.au has been told nurses are either drastically cutting back their hours, taking career breaks, or quitting in a year where the COVID-19 pandemic has crippled the industry.

A Melbourne nurse spoke to 9news.com.au about making the life-changing decision to pull the plug on her nursing career after feeling crushed by the physical and mental pressures of the job.

The nurse, who has requested to remain anonymous, said the industry has been overrun and understaffed since the pandemic hit, which has left many swamped with an unbearable workload.

For many nurses like her, staff shortages and an increase in patients have led to double shifts and overtime becoming an exhausting norm.

Despite trying to stick it out, she told 9News.com.au she had to quit as she could not take it anymore.

"The hardest thing has been knowing how busy and how short-staffed the unit is, but then feeling like I can't possibly work anymore," she said.

"You pull overtime, you pull double shifts and things like that but the unit is always, always short-staffed."

While she has a passion for nursing and a love for caregiving, there was one person who wasn't being looked after: herself.

"I loved it and I am passionate about healthcare and providing good quality healthcare — but not in these circumstances," she said.

"I think that's a lot of the reason why a lot of people are questioning whether they should leave because at what point does that love and passion for it run out?"

Leaving the industry did not come without guilt, the nurse revealing the decision to walk away — especially during a pandemic year — weighed on her heavily.

"I was definitely worried that I would be letting people down because the unit is already so short-staffed," she said.

"You are always getting text messages saying, 'can anyone work today or tomorrow,' multiple texts a day wondering if anyone can cover a shift.

"You get that feeling of no one can do enough."

Сrowd Burned Down Police Station In Pakistan

In Charsadda, an angry crowd burned down a police department after the Pakistani Interior Ministry refused to extradite a suspect in the desecration of the Koran for lynching.

Chārsadda is a town and headquarters of Charsadda District, in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province of Pakistan. It is the eighty fifth-largest city of Pakistan, according to 2017 census. Located in the Valley of Peshawar, Charsadda lies about 29 kilometres from the provincial capital of Peshawar.

According to eyewitnesses, about five thousand people participated in the unrest, who intended to deal with the troublemaker on their own. In addition to the police department, patrol cars and an Interior Ministry checkpoint in the suburbs also suffered from the fire. To calm the crowd, the security forces had to use tear gas, as well as shoot into the air. After the arson attacks, residents staged a sit-in on one of the highways.

The conflict was resolved only with the help of religious leaders. As for the culprit of the riots, the police managed to transport him to a safe place. The Justice Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province condemned the unrest and said he would not allow the mob to take justice into their own hands.

Keep borders open despite Covid variants, WHO pleads

The World Health Organization has encouraged countries to keep their borders open, despite fears about the Omicron variant of Covid-19, as South Africa denounces global travel restrictions that it has called “unjustified.”

Avoiding shutting down borders, the WHO said, will prevent a “heavy burden on lives and livelihoods.”

If restrictions are put in place, the organization warned, they should not be “unnecessarily invasive or intrusive.”

“Covid-19 constantly exploits our divisions. We will only get the better of the virus if we work together for solutions,” Dr Matshidiso Moeti, WHO’s Regional Director for Africa, said.

The comments come in response to multiple countries putting forth travel restrictions after the variant was discovered in southern Africa. Along with South Africa, the US has also restricted travel to and from multiple other nations in response to the new variant.

President Cyril Ramaphosa said in a Sunday address that no new restrictions would be imposed “at this stage” in the country, and he urged other countries to “urgently” lift their travel restrictions, calling these “unjustified.”

The decision to not implement travel restrictions in South Africa, however, will be reviewed in a week and is contingent on more citizens getting vaccinated.

As Beef Prices Skyrocket, Ranchers Raise $300m to Fight Gov’t-Corporate Control, Create a Sustainable System

If you’ve been to the grocery store in 2021, you’ve likely noticed that all grocery prices have skyrocketed while portion sizes have declined. While much of this is due to the government stealing value from the dollar by printing money to finance their blunders — also known as taxation through inflation — beef prices have shot up far higher than most everything else thanks to the industry’s government-enabled monopoly.

Since bribery is legal in politics so long as it’s referred to as “lobbying,” over the past several decades, a few large companies have paid their political puppets to ram through legislation that has made barriers to entry and regulatory compliance nearly impossible for smaller businesses.

Thanks to this government-corporate collusion, today, just four companies now control more than half of the market in chicken processing (Tyson, JBS, Perdue, and Sanderson), close to 70 percent in pork (Smithfield, JBS, Tyson, and Hormel), and 80 percent in beef (JBS, Tyson, Cargill, and National Beef), according to one recent analysis.

Over the last few decades, as farmers sold their beef to these companies at stagnant prices, they have become upset after watching prices in the store rise while JBS, Tyson, Cargill, and National Beef pay them the same or lower prices.

In a recent article from the AP, they reported that federal data show that for every dollar spent on food, the share that went to ranchers and farmers dropped from 35 cents in the 1970s to 14 cents recently.

Naturally, farmers are upset and now, they are doing something about it.

Rusty Kemp, a cattle rancher in Nebraska, organized a movement to help other ranchers like himself break free from the corporatocracy’s grip over the industry. In an inspiring show of gumption, the group raised over $300,000,000.

“We’ve been complaining about it for 30 years,” Kemp said. “It’s probably time somebody does something about it.”

Racine Sheriff Calls for Removal of Local Board Supervisor for Bailing Out Alleged Gun Thief

The Tennessee Star reports:

Racine County Sheriff Christopher Schmaling called for the removal of a supervisor over posting bail for an alleged gun thief who is accused of stealing three sheriff’s SWAT team guns.

Schmaling said, “[Adrian] Jefferson is a dangerous criminal with access to high-powered weapons and a large amount of ammunition.”

The Sheriff’s Letter is as follows:

Sheriff Christopher Schmaling calls for the immediate removal of Racine County Board Supervisor Nick Demske for actions that put the public in grave danger. On Wednesday, November 24, 2021, Supervisor Demske posted $10,000 cash so that Adrian O. Jefferson could be released from the Racine County Jail. Jefferson is a dangerous criminal with access to high-powered weapons and a large amount of ammunition.

Sheriff Christopher Schmaling stated, “Supervisor Demske paid for the release of a dangerous individual, who still may have access to military grade weapons and ammunition, back out into our community. Supervisor Demske has a consistent and extended history of voting against public safety proposals if the proposals are related to law enforcement. Supervisor Demske makes our community less safe, and he should be removed immediately.”

Theft of High-Powered Weapons and Ammunition

On July 5, 2018, into the early morning hours of July 6, 2018, a Racine County Sheriff’s Office SWAT Operator was the victim of someone breaking into his locked vehicle, attempting to burglarize his home, and stealing some of his SWAT issued equipment. Some of the items stolen were:

A Glock 27 .40 caliber pistol

A Armalite AR-10 Rifle .308 caliber with suppressor (Sniper Rifle)

A Colt M16A1 .223 Caliber (Fully Automatic)

13 total magazines for the three firearms, some of which contained armor piercing ammunition

On July 8, 2018, the Sheriff’s Office was notified that the Milwaukee Police Department had taken Jefferson into custody for a carjacking and that Jefferson was armed with a pistol that had a piece of equipment attached to the pistol that had come from the stolen Colt M16A1. After Jefferson’s arrest, the Milwaukee Police Department located magazines consistent with the stolen AR10 magazines in Jefferson’s bedroom.

A forensic examination of Jefferson’s phone provided GPS information showing that on the night of this theft, Jefferson traveled from Milwaukee via I94 and proceeded to the subdivision where the victim’s home was located. At least five other homes in that subdivision had vehicles entered, some of which had their garage door openers stolen, but no other significant property loss was reported from the other homes.

On July 10, 2018, Jefferson stated to investigators he was not involved in the thefts, but he alleged an acquaintance was trying to sell him the stolen firearms. Jefferson refused to tell the authorities where the dangerous weapons and ammunition were located. These stolen items have still not been located.

The Sheriff’s Office continued its investigation, and was able to review the videos, pictures, and other data on Jefferson’s phone (Please see the attached videos and photographs). On July 15, 2021, Jefferson was arrested and was being held in the Racine County Jail on a $10,000 cash bond.
