I am not ill. The person I hugged, unbeknownst to me had been exposed to other family members who had covid - some of whom had been and still are hospitalized. The person I hugged became symptomatic the day following Thanksgiving party and tested positive for COVID on Saturday morning. (This person had a traumatic brain injury years ago with lasting intellectual damage and didn't think about her own exposure before attending our Thanksgiving Day celebration. Nobody's fault - just one of those unfortunate things…) So now, I'm wondering if I'll catch it or if my ivermectin, etc will protect me and to what extent.

True. Whatever they have - it is wreaking havoc on their family as they are getting very ill - one in ICU and a child currently in the hospital. The lady I and the other attendees were exposed to is now quite ill as well.
