You're describing my exact experience with the blue/black vs white/gold dress.
I refuse to say which I hear when I listen to the original version of Laurel/Yanny BUT I will say that when I watch the WH video I can hear both.
someone pointed out that the word written down can ALSO been seen as either, if written in script (cursive.) amazing.
The thing I think it's about is… when they do release the video, people will be in doubt as to what was said, with one side SWEARING they hear "x" … therefore as usual evidence will come second to the reputation/likeableness of the people interpreting the evidence.
