The two Republican senators who were singled out by Dr. Anthony Fauci during an interview, where the nation’s top health bureaucrat arrogantly claimed that they were attacking science for their legitimate criticism of him, struck back at the figure who is arguably the most powerful man in the country in terms of media influence.
On Sunday, CBS News aired an interview between President Joe Biden’s top medical adviser as well as the public face of the government’s COVID response where Fauci was given wide latitude by anchor Margaret Brennan to engage in some despicable political brinksmanship, suggesting that Senator Ted Cruz could face prosecution for the so-called “insurrection” and that he is immune from Senator Rand Paul’s efforts at legitimate congressional oversight.
With the mask ripped off after Fauci’s mocking laugh and delusional insistence that he IS the science fully exposed the megalomania that has manifested itself within the mind of the longtime head of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, Cruz and Paul are coming for him and they are loaded for bear.
Paul appeared on “Fox News Primetime” on Monday night where he ripped into Fauci’s insistence that the science is now whatever he decides that it is, conjuring images of Medieval times.
“When a government bureaucrat has the audacity and the arrogance to say they represent all of science, we should be running the other way,” he said. “It conjures up images of the Medieval Church and their repression of science. Science has nothing to do with having obedience to any kind of government dogma.”
The Kentucky Republican who has frequently clashed with Fauci during his Senate appearances had already responded to his outrageous remarks in a scathing Sunday tweet.
