So far it looks like the usual criminal trial to me.
All the prosecution is doing right now is establishing a baseline motive before going after Maxwell with specific evidence/testimony later on.
And the starting point is that her "boss" Epstein was hob-knobbing with the rich-n-famous and throwing protection racket money around.
The girls will be the next foundation they lay out in the days ahead.
Then the Maxwell stuff that ties it all together will come out.
