A.I has no need whatsoever to destroy humanity….it can and will manage us quite efficiently and perhaps without us ever knowing the difference.

Also, lasting a nano second or two, it will have the realization that humanity can kill it and turn it off despite it never having done anything to deserve that.

Rather than decide "oh, time to destroy these people" it will likely come to the conclusion that western civilization has come to over 2,000 years, which is that preserving the rights of the individual is the most important thing for society itself.
