From a Gen X guy, welcome. It used to be that I didn't trust newspapers but I trusted history books. It took me a long, long time to start reading history books critically, but when I did, I could not trust newspapers.

 

I can't even imagine what it's like for the kids who grew up after 9/11/2001. It's like, "Congratulations on being born into a cyberpunk dystopia. But it's not the cool kind where you get to punch through walls."

It is very difficult to fix a republic of laws when many lawyers are corrupt and willing to defend the corruption. I have some hope in the fact that sheriffs have some degree of credibility and many of them are pissed enough to take action.
