I had it and when breathing became difficult I had to relax and meditate until breathing became less difficult…happened a few times a day

If I would have gone to the hospital the stress alone would have caused me to have even more breathing difficulties and might have ended up on a ventilator

When I was a kid I had asthma and had many asthmatic attacks so I learned how to focus and just breathe the best you can…that experience helped
What else are you going to do? Roll over and die? In which case I think you would just take a nice nap, relax, and wake up feeling better
