Interesting choice of words.
They didn't get into power by learning legalese. They got into power by CREATING legalese (and enforcing it's use).
The entire point is to remove everything human from the process, so it can be strictly controlled.
Aye. Forgetfulness is the root of most, if not all, of our problems and they exploit that. Legalese is so extremely confusing so that even those who do dive in 1) Never achieve full understanding of it anyways, and 2) Spend a huge amount of effort trying, neglecting other things that would be more beneficial.
In their ideal world it is impossible for any man to live their life entirely independently, so that they MUST rely upon strangers to tell them how to do some things. Their problem is that God's natural world works so well that even limited, forgetful humans can understand how to live on their own. So they create artificial systems like legalese that are in actuality too complex for people totally understand, forcing that reliance upon 'experts'.
The only winning move is not to play.
