John Eastman’s Lawyers Just Destroyed the Jan 6 Committee and Its ‘Subpoenas’.
Lawyers acting for constitutional law professor John Eastman have picked apart the raison d’etre for the January 6th Congressional committee, as well pointing out the potential for abuse of power and breaches of House rules.
Eastman – a target of the commission – is held up as guilty of insurrection by the political left for having the constitutional opinion that Vice President Mike Pence had no obligation to count ballots for states where political and legal proceedings were underway regarding election fraud.
The fisking of the committee will irk the already enfeebled group of Democrats, fresh off their latest round of embarrassments at the hands of another target: former Trump advisor Stephen K. Bannon.
Lawyer Charles Burnham wrote to committee chairman and violent black nationalist supporter Rep. Bennie Thompson:
We also have several objections to the legal propriety of your subpoena. These objections are important in their own right and as relevant context for Dr. Eastman’s assertion of his Fifth Amendment right. First, your committee lacks a ranking minority member, which makes it impossible to comply with relevant House Rules, including those applicable to subpoenas and depositions. Secondly, your extraordinarily broad subpoena goes far beyond even the most expansive reading of the Committees authorizing resolution in asking for materials bearing no reasonable relation to the events of January 6. Finally, the lack of true minority representation combined with your decision to take testimony in secret proceedings creates an extreme risk of gross unfairness to the subjects of your investigation. As I already stated, these are serious issues, both in their own right and as critical context for Dr. Eastman’s invocation of the Fifth Amendment.

Over 42,000 Adverse Reaction Reports Revealed In First Batch Of Pfizer Vax Docs
The FDA's excruciatingly slow release of data related to Pfizer's COVID-19 vaccine has already borne fruit, and it's damning despite a trickle of just 500 pages per month out of 329,000 pages - which will take until 2076 to complete.
As first reported by Kyle Becker, there were a total of 42,086 case reports for adverse reactions (25,379 medically confirmed, 16,707 non-medically confirmed), spanning 158,893 total events.
More than 25,000 of the events were classified as "Nervous system disorders."
Since the vaccine has been publicly administered, there have been over 913,000 reports of adverse events in the OpenVAERS global database.

Germany Announces National Lockdown for the Unvaccinated
Germany’s leadership on Thursday announced it will lock down unvaccinated people as top officials also signaled they would back plans for mandatory vaccinations in the coming months.
German Chancellor Angela Merkel said that individuals who aren’t vaccinated for COVID-19 will be excluded from nonessential stores, cultural, and recreational venues. The Bundestag, Germany’s Parliament, will also consider a general vaccination mandate, she added.
“The situation is our country is serious,” Merkel told reporters, claiming the new measures are an “act of national solidarity.”
The German chancellor said masks will be required in schools, and there will be restrictions on private meetings. Vaccinated people, Merkel added, will lose their vaccination status nine months after receiving their last shot.
“We have understood that the situation is very serious and that we want to take further measures in addition to those already taken,” Merkel, who is slated to leave office soon, told reporters. “The fourth wave must be broken and this has not yet been achieved,” she added.
Numerous studies have shown that fully vaccinated people still have the ability to transmit and contract COVID-19, although some health officials have said that vaccines can protect better against severe symptoms, hospitalization, and death. On Thursday, the Minnesota Department of Health confirmed that the second U.S. case of the Omicron COVID-19 variant was a fully vaccinated male.
Critics of vaccine passport systems, which have drawn weekly protests across Europe, have said they unjustly create a two-tiered society of vaccinated and unvaccinated people. Concerns have been raised about whether vaccine passports could be expanded to become a “social credit” system and if the mass collection of vaccination data could breach individual privacy rights.
In recent weeks, Austria and Greece also announced that vaccinations will be mandatory for everyone aged 60 and older. Those who refuse will face fines for each passing month, said the Greek government earlier this week.

Jeffrey Epstein’s former housekeeper claims Ghislaine Maxwell was ‘lady of the house’
Jeffrey Epstein’s longtime housekeeper on Thursday testified that Ghislaine Maxwell was the “lady of the house” at the powerful pedophile’s Florida mansion — and that countless young women hung out there, including two who appeared to be minors.
Juan Alessi dished about working for the late financier in Palm Beach for more than a decade, telling a Manhattan jury he saw “many, many, many females” in their 20s socializing with Epstein and Maxwell, usually topless.
Alessi recalled seeing two girls who appeared to be minors over the course of his employment, which ended in 2002. He identified one of the two as “Jane,” — a Maxwell accuser who testified earlier this week — describing her as a “striking, beautiful” girl who looked to be around 14 or 15.
The other minor, Alessi said, was Virginia Roberts Giuffre, who has accused both Epstein and Maxwell of sex-trafficking her when she was a teenager.
Alessi described how Maxwell first met Giuffre in the parking lot of Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago resort, where she ordered him to stop the car so she could hop out to talk to the young blonde.
Either Epstein or Maxwell would instruct him to pick up Jane or Giuffre and shuttle them to the mansion, Alessi testified.
Asked to identify the defendant, Alessi appeared to pause slightly before correctly referring to Maxwell. As their eyes met, she appeared to nod.
During his testimony, he recalled how Maxwell had a Yorkshire Terrier dog named Max from the time that he met her in 1991. On Tuesday, Jane testified that Maxwell had the same breed of dog when she met her and Epstein in the summer of 1994 at the age of 14.
“She traveled with Ms. Maxwell all the time,” Alessi said of the pooch, adding that he had to give Max a bath before each trip.
Alessi described how the British socialite ruled the home with an iron fist, giving him a lengthy checklist of instructions — including how staff should present themselves and address her and Epstein — something he found “very degrading.”
Maxwell, he testified, once told him that Epstein didn’t like being looked in the eyes.
“You should never look at his eyes,” he said Maxwell ordered him.
Prosecutors also asked Alessi to flip through a 58-page employee handbook and asked him to say which of the dozens of pages he recognized.

Brisbane man jailed and seven children rescued following international investigation into child abuse

Seven children have been rescued from harm, a 68-year-old Brisbane man jailed and two people arrested overseas following an international investigation into the sexual abuse of children.
The investigation was a result of an operation by the Australian Federal Police (AFP), Australian Border Force (ABF), the National Crime Agency (NCA) in the United Kingdom and Philippines National Police (PNP).
The Brisbane man was jailed today (2 December 2021) for five years, with a non-parole period of two years, after being found guilty of a range of child abuse offences.
Upon returning to Australia from overseas in February 2020, the man's laptop, smart phone, and a USB drive were examined by ABF officers at Brisbane International Airport and found to contain images of child abuse material.
ABF Investigators attended the airport and subsequently arrested and charged the man with importing tier 2 goods (special offence relating to child abuse material).
The matter was reported to the AFP's Brisbane Joint Anti-Child Exploitation Team (JACET) and the man was subsequently charged with obtaining child abuse material outside of Australia, causing a child to engage in sexual activity, preparing for/planning an offence of sexual intercourse with a child outside Australia, encouraging an offence of sexual intercourse with a child outside Australia, and using a carriage service to solicit child abuse material.
Further investigations by AFP officers discovered the man had sent money to people based in Thailand and the Philippines to facilitate the sexual abuse of children. Investigators also identified people in the Philippines suspected of being involved in the abuse of children. The AFP's International Command in the Philippines engaged Philippine authorities and referred intelligence to the Philippine Internet Crimes Against Children Centre (PICACC), of which the AFP is a partner agency.
On 10 February 2021, the Philippine National Police Women and Children's Protection Centre Mindanao Field Unit executed a search warrant at Labason, Zamboanga del Norte, on the island of Mindanao.
As a result of the operation, seven children, aged between 3 and 14, were rescued from further online sexual exploitation and one woman arrested. The woman remains before the court in the Philippines.
As a result of intelligence from the arrest of the woman in the Philippines, the NCA in the United Kingdom commenced an investigation into a UK national identified as allegedly making payments to the same woman.
A search warrant was executed in Bracknell in the United Kingdom on 1 September 2021, where a number of devices were seized and a 51-year-old man arrested.
