Forbes Admits mRNA Vaccines Alter DNA Then Changes the Title

In an article published by Forbes on Monday, the mainstream media admitted that COVID vaccines change your DNA but only indirectly and that is a good thing.

Forbes published an article from Steven Salzberg titled, “Yes, The Vaccine Changes Your DNA. A Tiny Bit. That’s A Good Thing.”

Forbes later retitled the article and admits that “Covid Vaccines Don’t Alter Your DNA – They Help Choose Cells To Strengthen Your Immune Response”. After being criticized by ‘vaccine cult’, the author changed the headline to emphasize that the vaccines “don’t alter your DNA” without changing any of the article’s content.

Blaze Media reported:

No editor’s note or other explanation for the change was given by Forbes. While the original headline summarized Salzberg’s argument, the new headline appears to slightly contradict what he wrote.

Salzberg wrote the article in response to what he called “one of the common tropes” about the vaccines popularized by those opposed to taking them: That the vaccines can change or interact with your DNA.

The CDC lists this claim as a common “myth” about vaccines.

Salzberg explained that technically the CDC “got it wrong” in its attempt to give a simple refutation of the DNA claim. He described how the body’s immune system responds to pathogens like the SARS-CoV-2 virus, selecting antibodies that can recognize the pathogen, bind to it, and destroy it.

“The way it does this is really rather extraordinary: many little pieces of your DNA are cut and pasted together, in millions of combinations, each making a different antibody. Eventually, one of these antibodies ‘recognizes’ the pathogen (by binding to it),” Salzberg wrote.

Continuing, he explained that successful antibodies are “remembered” by the immune system as special cells — called B-cells — that have slightly altered DNA.

Twitter purges thousands of ‘state-linked’ accounts

Twitter has announced their latest round of axed accounts, targeting thousands of users accused of promoting government agendas in countries such as China, Russia and Venezuela.

Thursday’s ban affects 3,465 accounts, the most so far under the social media company’s push to remove users that spread “state-backed information.”

Twitter said that it “attributed” the accounts that were given the boot to “operations” running for the sake of governments in Mexico, China, Russia, Tanzania, Uganda, and Venezuela.

Among the removed is “a network of accounts that amplified Chinese Communist Party narratives related to the treatment of the Uyghur population in Xinjiang,” as well as 12 accounts “connected to ‘Changyu Culture,’ a private company backed by the Xinjiang regional government.”

Twitter claims the accounts all ran “information campaigns” in support of the government in Beijing, with some targeting high-profile US citizens such as former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, who were critical of China.

“Pompeo, take care of yourself we are living a very good life #StopXinjiangRumors,” a number of tweets shared by Twitter said.

As for Russia, the platform claimed to have removed 16 accounts linked to the Internet Research Agency (IRA), which the US government accused of meddling in the 2016 elections. The accounts were faulted for attempting “an information operation in the Central African Republic” with a supposed goal to “introduce a pro-Russia viewpoint” in the discussion of political events in the region. Another 50 accounts were removed for “voicing significant support for Russia’s geopolitical position in Libya and Syria” and “attacking” one of the rival Libyan governments and its supporters, Twitter said.

The fresh crackdown comes just days after founder Jack Dorsey stepped down as CEO and was replaced by Parag Agrawal.

The company has also been facing scrutiny over their new policy on the “misuse of private media,” claiming photos and videos of individuals shared without their permission violates their “personal information” policy. The broad rule has been blasted by critics as the latest sign of censorship from the controversial platform.

Imagine having to make such a public statement

UK minister says Boris Johnson ‘not a clown’

A UK government minister has blamed the “pantomime season” and upcoming French election for “unhelpful” remarks allegedly made by President Emmanuel Macron about the British prime minister.

According to the weekly satirical newspaper Le Canard Enchaîné, President Macron recently called Boris Johnson “a clown” and a “proud knucklehead”.

“I think we are in pantomime season, aren’t we, and there is a French election coming. It is a pretty unhelpful word. Of course, the prime minister is not a clown, he is the elected prime minister of this country with a very big mandate, leading this country through a pandemic,” Science Minister George Freeman told Sky News.

He noted that the UK is looking to work with France “very closely” on a number of issues, including border control.

“I am confident that actually Anglo-French relations are rather better than that quote suggests,” the minister said.

There has been no reaction so far from Johnson to the French president’s alleged remarks.

Recent tensions between the UK and France have bubbled up over fishing licenses, migrant crossings, Brexit and the AUKUS submarine deal.

Johnson was also criticized by the French for publishing a recent letter of his to Macron on social media, prompting Paris to take action by withdrawing an invitation to Home Secretary Priti Patel to a meeting in Calais.

400k patients’ info leaked in Planned Parenthood ransomware hack

Hundreds of thousands of patients from a Los Angeles Planned Parenthood branch have had their information compromised in a massive malware attack. Conducted two months ago, it has only now been disclosed.

A hacker apparently using the same kind of ransomware deployed to seize the Colonial Pipeline energy system earlier this year has reportedly gained access to some 400,000 Planned Parenthood patients from the women’s health clinic’s Los Angeles branch. While Planned Parenthood offers a range of health services, including sexual health screenings and birth control prescriptions, it is perhaps best known for performing abortions.

While the group’s Los Angeles spokesperson John Erickson insisted there was no indication the stolen information had been used for “fraudulent purposes,” he acknowledged that an “unauthorized person” had gained access to the network between October 9 and 17, installed “malicious software,” and “exfiltrated” some files. Among the information stolen were patients’ names, addresses, insurance information, birthdates, and clinical information - including private health data.

The incident appears to have taken place about a month into an increasingly heated battle over abortion rights between pro-choice and pro-life activists, with its epicenter in Texas. The state passed a law on September 1 barring Americans from facilitating any abortion taking place past the six-week mark. Those found to be involved in such a procedure - aside, critically, from the mother receiving the abortion - can be sued for $10,000 or more in one of the act’s more controversial aspects.

Despite the best efforts of the Biden administration, the Supreme Court has thus far refused to file a permanent injunction against the law, though its enforcement has been briefly paused more than once.

Other courts have attempted to loosen their own abortion restrictions in an apparent effort to compensate for the Texas statute, which, unlike previous efforts to overturn the Roe v. Wade decision that legalized abortion in the first place, does not include exceptions for rape or incest.

The malware used to hack the Los Angeles clinic was the same ransomware - called DarkSide - deployed last year to shut down the Colonial Pipeline, but no further information has been revealed about who the attacker may have been or what their motivation was.

It’s not the first time Planned Parenthood has seen its systems infiltrated. Earlier this year, the Metropolitan Washington branch of the organization informed patients that their information - including birthdates, medical data, and social security info - was breached in 2020. In neither case did the clinic acknowledge any fraudulent use of the leaked data.

State Department Official To Keynote Pro-China Gala

U.S.-China Business Council fights legislation to punish China for human-rights abuses

A top State Department official is set to deliver the keynote address at a gala hosted by a pro-China group that wants to give the country a free pass on human-rights abuses.

Jose Fernandez, the undersecretary for economic growth, energy, and the environment, will speak at the U.S.-China Business Council gala on Thursday about the Biden administration’s bilateral approach to China. Chinese ambassador Qin Gang will also speak at the event, which is sponsored by the council’s corporate donors.

The council is one of Beijing’s most effective allies in Washington. The group, which represents hundreds of American companies that do business in China, has lobbied Congress and the White House to soften language on bills that would sanction China over human-rights abuses against Uyghurs, according to Politico. The Washington Post reported that council officials took part in a conference call this week with Chinese officials who urged American companies to continue their support for the Olympic Games in Beijing. Calls to boycott the games have grown following the disappearance of a Chinese tennis professional who alleged she was raped by a Chinese Communist Party official.

Fernandez’s address to the pro-China trade group comes as the Biden administration and congressional Democrats signal a willingness to ignore China’s human-rights record in order to win cooperation on climate change. The White House has pressured lawmakers to kill a bill that would restrict imports on goods made in Xinjiang, where the Chinese government is carrying out genocide against Uyghurs. Senate Democrats quietly excluded the bill from consideration on Wednesday, the Washington Free Beacon reported.

Fernandez has been far less vocal about China’s human-rights record than his predecessor, Keith Krach. The Twitter account for the undersecretary for economic growth, energy and the environment has not mentioned China since Jan. 20, 2021. A review of the account shows Krach frequently criticized the Chinese Communist Party and China’s repression of Uyghurs.

Some of the country’s biggest companies—JPMorgan Chase, Boeing, Ford, and GM—are sponsoring the gala. JPMorgan Chase CEO Jamie Dimon was forced to apologize last week after he joked that his company will likely outlast the Communist Party in China. The NBA, another gala sponsor, has come under fire for turning a blind eye to China’s human-rights record.

The council has partnered with progressive and isolationist groups to thwart anti-China bills. According to Politico, the council collaborated with the antiwar group Justice is Global to urge Congress to oppose legislation that might undercut climate negotiations with China. In February, the council’s chief lobbyist, Anna Ashton, took part in a discussion with a Justice is Global cofounder and a then-senior fellow at the Quincy Institute for Responsible Statecraft, an isolationist group funded by Charles Koch and George Soros.

The Quincy Institute fellow, Rachel Esplin Odell, joined the State Department in August. The Free Beacon reported that Odell has downplayed China’s national security threat to the United States and has criticized efforts to hold Beijing accountable for the coronavirus pandemic.

The State Department did not respond to a request for comment about Fernandez’s participation in the gala.

In Midst of Fentanyl Crisis, Vulnerable Democrats Voted Down Opioid Detection Funding

As a record number of Americans died of drug overdoses in early 2021, Senate Democrats unanimously blocked an amendment that would have provided hundreds of millions of dollars in "opioid detection activities" at the southern border.

From April 2020 to April 2021, more than 100,000 Americans died from drug overdoses, according to data from the National Center for Health Statistics. An overwhelming majority of those deaths came from opioids, and fentanyl smuggling has surged at the southern border since the start of Joe Biden's presidency. In March, however, Senate Democrats blocked a Republican motion that would have provided "$300 million for U.S. Customs and Border Protection narcotic and opioid detection activities."

That vote came as border crossings that month reached the highest level in 15 years. Law enforcement experts have long warned that Mexican cartels ramp up their drug smuggling operations during periods when Border Patrol faces strained resources, a reflection of how the opioid and border crises are intertwined. Without more dedicated funding for policing, critics of Democratic immigration policies say, gangs south of the border will keep taking advantage of overwhelmed Border Patrol agents.

"In Del Rio, [Customs and Border Protection] went four months without apprehending any hard drugs at a time when we know fentanyl deaths are up, drug deaths are up, so the drugs have to be there," said Andrew Arthur, a former immigration judge and a fellow at the Center for Immigration Studies. "The obvious conclusion to draw is the agents are so overwhelmed in Del Rio they just don't have the opportunity to stop any drugs."

With little evidence that drug activity will recede barring a dramatic change in priorities from the Biden administration, swing-state Democrats will likely face a barrage of attacks on the issue in the lead-up to the 2022 midterm elections. Those who voted against the GOP opioid provision include Democratic senators from Georgia, New Hampshire, Nevada, and Arizona up for reelection next year. Those four states, much like the rest of the country, have seen opioid overdoses spike in the last several years.

In Arizona, where Sen. Mark Kelly will run for a second term, drug overdose deaths spiked by 33.5 percent in 2020 compared with the previous year. Kelly's office did not respond to a request for comment.

Kelly, like other vulnerable Democrats, has tried to toe a line between calling for more border security and appeasing his party's left-wing base. Even though Kelly voted down the anti-trafficking amendment, he pledged the next month to "continue holding this administration accountable" on immigration after he said the president's address to Congress failed to adequately address the border "crisis."

But Kelly has also voted down other amendments aimed at bolstering border security, including one in February that protected former president Donald Trump's "Remain in Mexico" policy and another in May that prohibited the Biden administration from canceling border wall contracts that had already received federal funds. Those votes prompted top border officials to accuse Kelly of merely paying "lip service" to the topic while avoiding concrete action.

"That's the main concern right now—his voting record is in lockstep with Schumer, it's in lockstep with Biden," National Border Patrol Council president Brandon Judd told the Washington Free Beacon in November. "We continue to have to deal with this chaos at the border, and we're just not getting any support from the Democrats, and that includes Kelly."

According to an October Quinnipiac poll, just 23 percent of Americans support Biden's handling of the "situation at the Mexican border," while 67 percent disapprove. Independent voters also named immigration as their second-most leading issue going into next year's midterm elections.

Girl, 9, found dead in duffel bag in Oregon forest identified; mother and her girlfriend arrested for murder

PORTLAND, Ore. — The Oregon State Police have identified a girl who was found dead in Lincoln County, Oregon last year, saying two women were arrested in Michigan on aggravated murder charges related to the case.

On December 10, 2020, Detectives from the Oregon State Police Major Crimes section responded to the H.B. Van Duzer Scenic Corridor in Lincoln County, Oregon, for the report of human remains discovered just outside the rest area. An individual walking in the area discovered the remains of a female child, concealed inside a duffle bag, then hidden in the forest. Based on the level of decomposition, it appeared she had been deceased between 30-60 days before her discovery.

Investigators and experts at the Oregon State Medical Examiner’s Office, collected samples from the child’s remains for DNA testing by a specialty DNA laboratory. Parabon Nano Labs extracted DNA from the samples submitted, and on October 4, 2021, notified OSP investigators they identified the deceased child.

The deceased was identified as Haley Mae Coblentz. She was nine years old at the time of her death. Haley was born in Colorado. She was living with her biological mother and mother’s girlfriend in multiple places in Oregon and the Pacific Northwest since 2015. She was not reported as a missing person at the time of her death.

On November 30, 2021, with the assistance of the Detroit FBI, OSP Investigators located Haley’s mother, 29-year-old Shawna Browning, and 34-year-old Lauren Harrison in Detroit, Michigan. Investigators arrested Browning and Harrison and served a search warrant on their vehicle and hotel room.

Browning and Harrison were arrested on a Lincoln County, Oregon warrant and charged with murder. Police didn’t say how the girl died.

UNGA’s Latest Resolution Illustrates the International Community’s Complicity With Israel’s Colonial Expansion

Israel’s impunity has been crafted by the UN, in a parallel manner to how the UN facilitated Palestine’s territorial loss, Ramona Wadi writes.

Yet another non-binding UN General Assembly has passed, granting Palestinians permanent sovereignty over their natural resources, even as Israel has absolute dominion over their territory. The draft resolution, titled “Permanent sovereignty of the Palestinian people in the Occupied Palestinian Territory, including East Jerusalem, and of the Arab population in the occupied Syrian Golan over their natural resources,” is a perfect example of how the UN glosses over Israel’s colonial violence by refusing to take action, preferring to enact non-binding resolutions which do nothing to protect the Palestinian people’s political rights and their territory.

The resolution demands Israel ceases its exploitation and theft of Palestinian land, while noting all other Israeli violations on Palestinian territory, such as the Apartheid Wall, settlement expansion, destruction of Palestinian infrastructure, as well as the impact of Israel weapons in Gaza. With the passing of such a detailed resolution, it would stand to reason that the UN takes measures against Israel’s colonial violence, rather than call upon Israel to halt its damage. The latter is a futile request, and the UN knows Israel will not abide by the non-binding resolution, in which case it is pertinent to ask why the international institution keeps score of each violation only to mete out some symbolic recognition of Palestinian rights which has so far failed to translate into political value for the Palestinian people.

Palestine’s Permanent Observer to the UN Riyad Mansour described the resolution as confirming the international community supporting full rights for Palestinians. Similarly the Palestinian Authority’s Foreign Minister Riyad al-Maliki declared that the resolution affirmed Palestinian people’s rights over their territory and called upon the UN to implement international resolutions. Which is where Palestine, as usual, will hit a dead end. The UN’s complicity in Israel’s colonial expansion is the primary reason why non-binding resolutions have taken the place of political resolution for Palestinians.

Does the UN need reminding of how it failed Palestinians since the passing of the 1947 Partition Plan? Or of how its defence of Israel’s security narrative directly ties in to the Palestinian people’s experience of loss, to the point that non-binding resolutions are necessary to remind the world that Palestinians have political rights? Only the periodic reminders mean nothing if the UN refuses to face Israel’s war crimes and international law violations.

Unfortunately, the PA has long supported this disastrous status quo, in which the gap between non-binding resolutions and Israel’s expansion is becoming irreconcilable.

Researchers took shell companies on a global shopping trip with financial institutions — here’s what they found

To test anti-money laundering oversight between low and high-risk clients, the authors of “Global Shell Games” reached out to thousands of banks and other intermediaries.

Banks and financial service providers continue to turn a blind eye and accept customers that may be at high risk for financial crime, a new study by three renowned academics finds.

The authors are no unknowns: Michael Findley, Daniel Nielson and Jason Sharman published the 2014 book, “Global Shell Games,” which rattled the financial industry by spotlighting its poor oversight of shell companies. Two years later, ICIJ’s Panama Papers investigation did the same, followed by the Paradise Papers, the FinCEN Files and, just a few weeks ago, the Pandora Papers.

Some reforms have followed over the years. Several countries introduced registers to report true company owners, including the U.S. last year. Meanwhile, some financial institutions saw accountability for poor anti-money laundering oversight in the form of multi-billion dollar fines, and deferred-prosecution-agreements.

But despite these measures, the question remains: Do banks and financial institutions adequately monitor transactions and clients for dirty money? And if so: do their methods prevent criminal actors from getting access to the international financial system?

To search for an answer, the authors started a global experiment on regulatory compliance in the finance industry.

The researchers incorporated 12 shell companies in locations around the world and tried to open bank accounts for them. To measure if companies from stigmatized tax-haven jurisdictions would get treated differently, the scholars registered companies in the British Virgin Islands and the Seychelles. To test whether high risk of corruption changes anything, companies were set up in Papua New Guinea and Bangladesh, which are both seen to have major corruption problems according to the 2019 Corruption Perception Index. A trust and a company formed in Pakistan, which ranked highly on the 2017 Global Terrorism Index, were used to send signals of higher terrorism-financing risk.

One company was located in Delaware, a state widely seen as a tax haven, and another in California, known for higher corporate transparency standards. Some companies were formed in the U.K., a leading financial center with a growing reputation as a dirty money capital, and for placebo condition measurements, others were created in Australia and New Zealand. “We engineered radically different risk treatments by varying the jurisdiction of company incorporation and the language of the solicitation approach,” the authors explained.
