Another idea is to see if your county has a local “VSO” guy, you can directly donate to Vets in your area.. monetary, goods, time (like offering to drive them or bring groceries to them).

I’m trying to wake people up in my small town-a few days ago was swapping covid experience w a woman. She had it a little earlier than I did. I told her she really didn’t need to wear a mask as she was most likely immune. Her response was “I just feel safer wearing it”. I bluntly told her it was Linus’ security blanket and how I so much preferred breathing fresh air and that I put my faith in our body’s natural immunity. I ended with “I bet people miss seeing your smile.. think about it, no fear” and smiled at her. I hope she takes it to heart. :)
