His followers, which continues to this day, is a religion that derived from and depends on Judaism.

If you feel hatred and contempt in your heart at seeing 'Jesus was Jew', then you don't understand Christianity.
Christians read the old testament too, and Jesus said He 'didn't come to abolish the law (i.e. The Torah, i.e. the Old Testament), but to fulfill it'.
If you feel 'insulted' at this truth, then God help you, because only God could help a person in that state of denial.
Funny, there are many 'extremist' Jews who also get really offended when they see people saying Jesus was a Jew.
