on the topic of lb notable of plants that survive without pesticides, etc… anon has developed a tomato over the years that throws back to an earlier type. it not only thrives without any help but reseeds itself without planting every year. It produces from late July to October, and does all this in a cold climate.

 

Modern cultivation lacks logic and makes for weak crops dependent upon intervention with fertilizers and pesticides. Anyone can "breed back" to stronger, more original plants in their own gardens.

I literally never even plant or turn the soil for these things. they just pop back up like weeds. try hardy plants that require little from you and you might avoid the need for a lot of work that usually comes with gardening.
